Sir Elton John's husband David Furnish 'buys London home for 33-year-old personal trainer he met clubbing'

Sir Elton John's husband David Furnish bought a London flat for a long-time male friend, according to a new report, who has also enjoyed first class holidays around the world on behalf of the star.

David, 52, met 33-year-old Danny Williams on a night out clubbing in the capital, and quickly struck up a friendship, a report in The Sun on Sunday claims.

2013 Land Registry documents show David, who married Elton in December, paid in excess of £330,000 for a two bedroom flat in South London for Danny.

The report alleges that David and Danny, a personal trainer in a London gym, met during a night out, when Elton was not present and continued to party together.

'Furnish and Danny were close and went out a lot on the gay scene. Elton would not be there as he does not like clubbing and was often away touring and working,' claims a source.

The friends were seen out together for around 18 months, with photos from June 2012 showing the pair aboard a yacht in Portofino, Italy with other friends, before they headed to the Greek island of Mykonos while Sir Elton was on his Greatest Hits tour.

To celebrate his 51st birthday in October 2013, David flew Danny first class from London to Hawaii to be part of the celebrations.

It was also in this year that David purchased the flat for Danny, as well as furnishing it before his friend moved in.

But a source claims that while Danny enjoyed the flat, trips abroad, as well as parties at David and Elton's lavish Holland Park home, it was after the Hawaii birthday trip that they stopped seeing each other regularly.

Danny, who is openly gay and has a son, 12 and daughter, ten from a relationship with a woman, was approached by The Sun for comment, and told the paper: 'We were just friends, that's all we ever was. I'm friends with both (Sir Elton and Furnish).' He refused to comment on the flat purchase, The Sun report.

Representatives for David and Elton have been approached by the MailOnline for comment.

A source adds that Danny pays rent on his flat and that the furnishings paid for by David amounted to £6,500 with everything coming from Ikea. The insider also says that David used air miles from his regular travelling to fly his friends, including Danny, out to Hawaii for his birthday.

'Danny is a friend of Elton's as well and Elton doesn't have a problem,' adds the source. 'There is absolutely not a crack in Elton and David's relationship.'

David and Elton were officially married in December, exactly nine years after they entered into a civil partnership.

The pair, who first met in 1993, are parents to Zachary, four and Elijah, two, who share the same surrogate mother.

Elton made headlines last week after he launched a foul-mouthed rant at a concert steward in Gloucester.

The row flared up when fans at the Kingsholm Stadium gig were banned by stewards from waving their arms.  The singer - whose songs include Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - then launched a tirade of abuse at staff, shouting: 'This is not f****** China,' directing some of his anger at one female employee.

According to ITV News, he fumed: 'I came here to play music, now all you stewards down there, especially the woman in the pony tail, f****** lighten up will you?

'These people have come to hear music and if they want to put their hands in the air let them. This is not f****** China, so p*** off.

'You've got a f***** uniform on and you think you're Hitler and you're not. You can p*** off! I mean really. Don't have any sympathy with her, this is a concert, okay?'

The steward - named only as Maria by witnesses - was then seen walking away and crying, leading to the musician to offer an apology before inviting the steward back on stage where he sung Yellow Brick Road while she sat next to him on his piano stool.
