So I’ve had my eye on a few awesome looking products lately and decided to purchase a couple of bits from Sephora as a treat for my birthday. I’m really happy with what I got, but not so happy about the price…

Shipping and Handling – £16.38

Taxes and Duties – £16.26

Now I’ve put all the prices on here for you because I want to make a point. I was so happy when I saw the The Too faced Melted Lipsticks at Sephora for the equivalent of £12.32, as they’re £19 in the UK. I felt like I was getting a great deal. Most things are cheaper in the US compared to the UK so I was a happy bunny! I understood there would be shipping and handling fees, but I didn’t realise there was also a taxes and duties charge until it was too late. I think I got a bit mixed up because it was a very similar price to the shipping, so I think I thought it was the same thing, if that makes sense! In the end my order came to over £100, with over £30 of it spent on fees, boo hoo! What’s done is done, and I am really happy with what I got, I just wanted to point this out as a warning when purchasing from Sephora, just beware and keep an eye on the charges!

(Update – so apparently I’m a complete twit, I’ve just been told if I’d have spent £75 on my order, then my shipping would have only been £6! Oh well at least I know now!)
