Hi Guys!

Today I want to tell you about the Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Compact!

Pur Minerals are similar to Bare Minerals in the sense that their products are mineral based (of course!) I love Bare Minerals products so I’m hoping I’ll love this foundation too!

If you haven’t heard of Pur Minerals, I’ll give you a bit of background on them… ‘Pür Minerals combine the finest ingredients in nature with the latest in skincare technology. The multi-tasking formulas work with the skin to correct, prevent and interrupt common concerns for radiant results that are visible even after the makeup is removed. Known as The Complexion Authority™, Pür Minerals has carved out a Pür ‘difference’ by bridging the gap between mineral cosmetics and full service skincare through incredible, unique formula’s that harness cutting edge technology. Pür Minerals contain NO harsh chemical dyes, petroleum-based oils, fragrance or fillers, just pure mineral pigments and nourishing ingredients that ALL skin types can enjoy.

The 4-in 1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Compact (£24.00) is made to brighten and smooth uneven skin tone and it aims to give a renewed radiance to dull and discoloured skin. I love that this foundation is literally at the point where makeup crosses with skincare. This award winning pressed powder has specifically been developed to help improve the skins’ appearance over time – *In just 8 weeks, 89% of users saw an improvement in skin tone, in just 4 weeks 89% saw an increase in skin brilliance, and 95% saw a softer smoother skin texture.

Ok so let’s take a look at the product… I love the packaging! The compact comes in an almost futuristic style matte silver casing with the Pur logo in relief, it’s reassuringly weighty and looks to be high quality.

This powder really is fantastic for a medium coverage, flawless look. But let me start from the beginning – my skin pretty much has two main problems, one being it can be fairly dry, so I have to moisturise like theres no tomorrow, and the other being enlarged pores on my nose and around the centre of my face, which I really hate.

I applied the foundation with Pur Minerals’ own Chisel Makeup Brush (£13) which is specifically made for use with this product. I found that there was quite a lot of kick up from the compact, but the brush did a good job of picking up the powder, and I buffed it into my skin. I was left with a lovely medium coverage, flawless finish. I was quite surprised with just how even and bright my complexion looked!

Though I think this foundation really is something special, I wouldn’t actually recommend it if you have really dry skin. After inspecting my face in my new super magnifying mirror I noticed the powder did seem to pick out the few small dry areas I have. I should add that this wasn’t noticeable without looking really close up! I will say though, this is fantastic for covering pores and giving a super even look to the complexion – if you have normal or oily skin I’d highly recommend you try this foundation.

Pür Minerals is available exclusively from www.marksandspencer.com.

I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any Pur Minerals products before? I hope you enjoyed my review xxx

I have really dry skin and can’t even wear foundation anymore just BB creams which is a shame because I really like the sound of this
