Ellen Pompeo is taking advantage of her Grey's Anatomy hiatus before she starts filming season 12.

And on Tuesday, the 45-year-old actress was spotted with a beaming smile on her face while spending time with husband Chris Ivery and daughter Stella during the 61st Taormina Film Festival in Italy.

The ABC star enjoyed a family meal with her loved ones before appearing on a panel for a Q&A discussion on day four of the festivities.

Henderson starred showrunner Shonda's short-lived ABC series Off the Map in 2011, where he coincidentally played a surgeon.
