'I'm living tissue over a metal skeleton:' Arnold Schwarzenegger cracks Terminator joke after bemused fans nearly run him over as he enjoys Boris bike ride in London

He's Hollywood's toughest action man and Arnold Schwarzenegger proved his resilience during a morning bike ride in London on Wednesday,

The 67-year-old star didn't want to miss out on his daily workout during a trip to the UK, so jumped on a Boris bike.

Arnie shared his two-wheeled adventure with a series of Snapchat videos as he checked out the sights, while bemused fans were soon excitedly taking to Twitter to share their encounters, and near misses, with the Terminator lead.

The actor, who is often spotted cycling back home in California, shocked commuters as he enjoyed his leisurely morning ride around some of the capital's most famous landmarks.

Dressed in bright blue shorts and a zip-up jacket, Arnie shared Snapchat videos during his ride on one of London's for-hire bikes, telling his fans: 'We're in London on a little bicycle ride, I always get my morning exercise with an hour on the bike.'

The star is seen riding down to Piccadilly Circus, or 'Piccadilly Square', as he calls it, before crossing to Trafalgar Square where he got a glimpse of Big Ben.

Arnie is currently promoting new flick Terminator Genisys. The film, of course, sees him reprise his role as the time travelling humanoid The Terminator.

The fifth film in the smash hit franchise also stars Australian actor Jai Courtney and Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, and hits cinemas next month.
