Claudia Jordan has allegedly been fired from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, according to a TMZ report.

The 42-year-old - who often came to blows with co-star NeNe Leakes - will allegedly not be returning to the reality show as a lead cast member, after appearing on just one season.

DailyMail.com has contacted Claudia's representative for comment.

The newest Housewife to appear in Atlanta for the recently concluded seventh season, Claudia made an immediate impression - in large part due to her conflicts with NeNe.

For the final three episodes of the season, in fact, storylines were dominated by the Claudia-NeNe feud.

With the news of the alleged firing, speculation quickly indicated the fight as a cause, with the RHOA producers choosing their long-time star over a new face.

Claudia may not even be welcomed back as a guest star, if the reports are true.

As for the reality star herself, reports of her alleged dismissal seemed to catch Claudia by surprise.

On Saturday morning, she posted a short Twitter message - 'Wait what?!?' - followed by several emojis crying tears of laughter.

The fate of the other central characters - NeNe, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore - remains undetermined.

However if she does depart the Real Housewives franchise, Claudia might have plenty of other gigs to take the reality show's place.

She wrapped filming on The Hills, a thriller starring Omar Gooding and Clifton Powell, in the spring and was later booked to co-star in The Substitute Spy, set to film over the summer.

'Looking forward to starting my next film with Jasmine Guy and many other talented actors next week,' Claudia wrote of The Substitute Spy to her Instagram in early June.

Another movie, Love Is Not Enough, is in post-production for the spring.

With this news, Claudia has joined a growing list of Real Housewives stars rumoured not to be returning.

The Beverly Hills cast has been especially hard-hit by alleged firings, with Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville rumoured to have gotten the axe.

Their co-star, Yolanda Foster, also might not return to The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills because of health concerns.

While Yolanda would likely be welcomed if she were up to the challenge of filming, TMZ reported that Brandi had been told she needs to change her behaviour if she wants to return to the show.
