It appears Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield’s relationship is completely back on track as they put on a loved-up display while out and about on Saturday afternoon.

The private couple was spotted filling up their Audi hybrid car with gas in Santa Monica, California, and the smitten pair’s feelings were clear to see.

Emma, 26, might have had her face covered by her black shades but she was clearly gazing adoringly at her 31-year-old beau.

The actress looked stylish in a white shirt and black heeled sandals while her The Amazing Spiderman co-star was dressed casually in a grey top, black jeans and an indigo denim jacket.

The pair’s loved-up display is the latest in a string of sightings which has dispelled the rumours that the lovebirds, who began dating in 2011, had called time on their relationship.

In her recent interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine confirmed that the pair were still together as she stated: ‘It’s so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don’t talk about it.'

She did however briefly comment on the images of her carrying a bag with Andrew’s name on it in the middle on the rumour storm.

The Easy A actress admitted: ‘When I picked up the bag, I was like, “This is kind of funny if there are any [paparazzi] out there.”

'There’s probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it’s false, I would rather just let it be false.’

She added: ‘See, I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason—because it’s all so speculative and baseless.’

Meanwhile, the in-demand star earned her first Oscar nod this year for her performance in Birdman, and has recently completed a three-month stint on Broadway as Sally Bowles in Cabaret.

She also revealed in the magazine that it was her busy schedule that kept her from deciding to appear in the upcoming all-female Ghostbusters reboot.

'The script was really funny,' she said, but admitted: 'A franchise is a big commitment - it’s a whole thing. I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into that water.'
