Lookfantastic February Beauty Box | Review

Hi Guys!

Well it’s February already and my latest Lookfantastic beauty box has just arrived. I’ve been feeling a bit on the fence lately about these boxes, with the products to me being quite hit and miss, so I must say that I didn’t have the highest hopes for this box. Let’s take a look at what’s inside…

  • Korres Citrus Little Body Milk, 50ml. 200ml is £10 so 50ml is worth £2.50
  • Moroccanoil Treatment, 25ml, £13.45
  • Dr Pawpaw Multipurpose Soothing Balm, 25ml full size £6.95
  • Erno Laszio Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar, sample size 17g. 141.7g is £45 so 17g is £5.39
  • Monu Illuminating Primer, 50ml is £27.95 so 15ml is £8.38
  • Bellapiere Lipliner in Cinnamon £16.00

Total value = £52.67. Not bad hey!

Ok so I know the point of these boxes is so you get to try out new products, but on first inspection I was still a bit shocked at the minuscule size of the Cleansing Bar and Monu Primer, they really are teeny tiny! And I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed…

Maybe it’s my nose playing up because I’m getting a cold but the Korres Citrus Body milk smelled really masculine to me, which was quite unexpected. It’s not for me just because of the scent but my other half might like to give it a go. The Morocconoil Treatment is definitely a winner though, I’ve used this before and it’s a fantastic oil that leaves hair super soft – plus it smells really nice too. The Dr Pawpaw Multipurpose Soothing balm seems good too, it’s pretty much the same as my Papaya Gold PawPaw Balm but in a smaller tube, I’ve used it on my lips and it’s left them super soft, and it can also be used on the body too.

The Erno Laszio Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar is a bit of a funny one, this is a very neutral scented mini cleansing bar – which I must say is a great way to try the product as the full size version is a whopping £45! Eeek! I’ve just opened it and tried it out and it definitely left my skin feeling clean and soft, but I won’t be rushing out to buy the full sized bar. The Monu Primer is also in fact rather lovely, it looks and rubs into the skin like a moisturiser, but gives a hint of luminosity perfect for pre foundation. And lastly the Bellapierre Lipliner is actually really nice too, the cinnamon shade is a very wearable slightly brown toned nude, and it’s easy to apply and long lasting too.

Ok so maybe I’ve changed my tune a bit. I do actually like all the products here except for the Korres, so I think this box is actually money well spent after all.

At this point I was originally going to announce that I’ve made the decision not to buy any more Lookfantastic boxes. But now I’m not so sure! Should I get March’s box or not? Let me know what you think! xxx

  1. Mums do travel

I like the sound of the Morocconoil – I think that my hair could do with some of that. These kids of boxes would be no good for me because I’d forget to try out the products!
