Hi Guys!
On Thursday evening, before the Beauty at Tesco Twitter chat, I was lucky enough to be invited to Jarrold’s first ever blogger event! I went with one of my blogging buddies Laura, and we had no idea what to expect! If you’ve never heard of Jarrold, their flagship department store is located in Norwich, and there are others around East Anglia. Jarrold offers a unique and contemporary shopping experience over 5 floors, with more than 50 departments offering a stunning choice of products including many exclusive and individual ranges.
When we arrived at Cafe Benjamin, it was cordoned off especially for us bloggers. We were greeted with bubbly and gorgeous canapés. We sat down and chatted, and I met the lovely Sophie who’s currently advertising in my sidebar, Holly and Emily.
So first up we went to check out some gorgeous clothes, shoes and accessories. We were asked to put them together to make outfits and style them however we liked. Jarrold has such a massive selection of fashions, from gorgeous affordable buys, to hundreds of pounds for designer styles (I had my eye on a gorgeous three figure Joseph jacket) There really is something for everyone! One of my favourites though was a stunning black and clear stone statement necklace, which I think was £40 if I remember rightly, and another was the cutest cat face print t-shirt from Hobbs.
We then headed off to the shop floor to check out the amazing beauty hall! In my opinion, Jarrold definitely has the best selection of beauty and fragrance on offer in East Anglia. Some of the brands they stock include: MAC, Benefit, Leighton Denny, OPI, Dior, YSL, Clinique, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Tom Ford, REN, He-Shi Tan, Jo Malone, Laura Mercier, to name but a few.
We started off at MAC (I was in heaven) and were shown some new product releases and had a good look round. It’s pretty weird seeing MAC completely empty, as I’m usually fighting 25 other girls trying to get to the lipstick stand!
We then walked passed the Benefit counter to the Nail Bar – Jarrold sells every nail polish you could ever need, they stock Leighton Denny and you can sit down and relax whilst having and OPI mani if you wish!
It was then on to Jo Malone. Jo Malone is top of my try list and there’s no other counters near to me, so this was very exciting! The Jo Malone department was simply stunning. We were given a spritz of the brand new Tuberose Angelica fragrance, which was absolutely gorgeous! It was very similar to my favourite perfume of all time so I may just have to snap it up…
Then, did you know Jarrold has a not-so-secret underground spa, called The Retreat!? I had no idea it was there! The Retreat offers some fantastic spa treatments in a completely soundproofed area, so after a hard days’ shopping you can nip down there for a nice massage! You would have no idea you’re in a department store!
We then took a look around the beauty hall at all the new releases, these Dior coloured mascaras and eyeliners really caught my eye!
We stopped at Chanel, YSL and Clinique – where you can have a full on skin consultation.
There was so much to take in! After having a free rein of the store, looking at products and listening to demonstrations, we headed back to Cafe Benjamin where we chatted and were given some fab Jarrold and Jo Malone goody bags, and cupcakes! Amazing!!
And there we have it! I hope this post has given you a good idea of what Jarrold can offer, if you’re ever in the area make sure you take a look!
Thank you so much to all the ladies at Jarrold that made this event so fun and informative!
I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
