But on Sunday, Naomi Watts ditched the high heels for a pair of white sandals as she headed off to the movies with her partner Liev Schreiber and their sons, Samuel, six, and Alexander, seven.

The family-of-three held hands as they headed towards the cinemas, following a lunch out for Father's Day.

Naomi showed off her toned legs in a pair of faded ripped cut denim shorts.

The British-Australian actress topped off her casual look with a light grey sloppy-joe and wore her short blonde locks out and tucked behind her ears.

The 46-year-old added some colour to her look with a bright pink over-the-shoulder bag, which featured a rainbow strap.

Liev also opted for the casual look with a pair of black shorts and a blue button-up shirt, which covered up his black and white stripped top.

The actor tucked his shirt into his knee-length shorts and hung his reading glasses off his shirt.

Samuel and Alexander also followed in their high-profile parent's footsteps, dressing in a pair of thongs with shorts and jumpers.

Both boys had their blonde hair covered by their hoods.

Last week, Naomi caused quite a stir when she engaged in a passionate lip-lock with Nicole Kidman during the 2015 Women In Film event in Los Angeles.

The long-time pals surprised onlookers with the kiss, which saw Nicole, 47, taking full control of the situation.
