Ray Wilkins has returned to English football with Aston Villa, becoming manager Tim Sherwood's No 2.
Sherwood was on the lookout for a new assistant manager after Villa's 4-0 thumping at the hands of Arsenal in the FA Cup Final last month.
Sherwood's preferred option was Chris Ramsey, before he was handed the manager's job at QPR but he is sure to be happy to be working alongside Wilkins.

Wilkins has huge experience of English football, playing over 700 games as a professional and held numerous coaching jobs, including two separate spells at Chelsea.
He enjoyed a successful spell as Carlo Ancelotti's assistant manager as the Blues won the Premier League and FA Cup in 2010.
He briefly acted as assistant Rene Meulensteen's assistant at Fulham, before being appointed as the new manager of Jordan in September 2014, coaching them at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, where they knocked out in group-stages for the first time.
Wilkins was sacked from Fulham on February 17, 2014 as part of a management reshuffle
