They've had a rollercoaster romance for years, and it looks like Selena Gomez isn't quite ready to spend a whole night partying alongside ex Justin Bieber.

The former couple were spotted hitting The Nice Guy lounge and bar in Los Angeles on Thursday where Tori Kelly's album release party was being held, with both stars dressed down for the night out.

Selena didn't stick around for long at the popular nightspot though, with the singer spotted making a swift exit with the pair's mutual friend Ed Sheeran just a few minutes after her ex arrived.

Selena looked cute but casual in her dressed-down look, joining Ed who had performed at The Hollywood Bowl earlier in the evening.

The singer layered a striped top under her sleeveless jacket, glamming up the outfit with her wet-look leather trousers and ankle boots.

She left her dark locks loose and flashed a smile as she headed inside.

Ed stuck to the casual theme as he showed off his colourful tattoos in a simple red t-shirt and black jeans.

Justin was spotted arriving at The Nice Guy, dashing past the crowds of fans in his trademark style of a short-sleeved checked shirt and black jeans, teamed with a black hat.

The singer met up with his latest music protege Tori Kelly at the club, who is signed to the same manager, Scooter Braun, as Justin, while Ed has contributed to her album.

Just minutes after Selena'x ex arrived, the brunette beauty and Ed were seen leaving the nightspot and heading to a nearby Seven Eleven to stock up on some snacks before heading back to Selena's LA home.

Selena, who started dating Bieber in 2010, recently admitted that her forthcoming album has been inspired by her complicated relationship with the singer, who she has remained friends with.

During an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Selena admitted that her new music will reference their romance, but is also focused on her 'rebirth' as an artist.

'I think there's hints of [my relationship with Justin],' she explained. 'But I think what I was really excited about was the title of the album [and] the rebirth of Selena. It's just beautiful. It's my chance to just feel like an independent artist and I worked really hard on it. So I guess that's just the vision. It's all about my journey. It's not about anything specific.'

While she was in a long-term romance with Justin, Selena has also been linked to Ed with sources claiming back in June 2013 that the friends were 'hooking up' after her split from Justin, although there was no actual evidence of a romance between the talented pair.

When asked by Us Weekly about the possibility of being fixed up with the pop star though, Ed cheekily admitted, 'I wouldn't complain.'

Ed was also forced to deny the pair were writing music together after he was spotted heading to Selena's home with his guitar. 'I literally went to a house party at her house! I had my guitar 'cause I'd come from that airport. So, yeah … that rumor isn't true,' he explained to Fuse.

Selena recently revealed to SiriusXM Hits 1's The Morning Mash Up that she has asked Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd and Johnny Knoxville to set her up on a date.

'I just spent the weekend in Kansas with Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis and Johnny Knoxville,' Selena said. 'I was like guys lets talk about some dates! That's kinda my approach. When I meet cool people like them I want what they have.'

The gorgeous star has most recently been linked to The Cab singer Alexander DeLeon after a rumoured fling with producer and musician Zedd, following the pair's collaboration on I Want You To Know.

Justin meanwhile is at the centre of romance rumours with Australian model Shanina Shaik.
