Grief-stricken Bobby Brown arrives to see his daughter as prosecutors eye Nick Gordon for possible murder charges now that Bobbi Kristina is off life support

  • Bobbi Kristina's dad Bobby Brown and aunt Pat Houston were seen en route to Peachtree Christian Hospice Hospice in Georgia on Thursday
  • The Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney's office is 'reviewing the case with greater interest' because Bobbi Kristina is likely to soon die
  • Announcement comes just a day after her family filed a $40million suit against Gordon, alleging he stole money from Bobbi and abused her
  • Gordon tweeted on Wednesday to 'keep praying' for Bobbi, then later deleted his Twitter account
  • She was found unconscious in a bathtub in January - just hours before she was allegedly set to meet a friend to reveal problems with Gordon
  • Incident came three years after her mother Whitney Houston died in a bath

Bobbi Kristina's partner Nick Gordon could soon become the focus of a fully fledged murder investigation now that the 22-year-old has been taken off life support and is likely to soon die.

Prosecutors in Fulton County Georgia told TMZ that 'in view of the new circumstances regarding the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest'.

At the same time, Gordon, 25, has been hit with a lawsuit from Bedelia Hargrove, Bobbi's court-appointed conservator, claiming he was physically abusive on multiple occasions and stole from her while she was in a coma.

Members of her family, including her aunt Pat Houston and her grief-stricken father Bobby Brown, were seen Thursday afternoon arriving at the hospice in Georgia where Bobbi was taken the day before.

There is also a claim that Bobbi was set to meet with a friend and reveal her problems with Gordon around the same time she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31 at her suburban Atlanta home.

Gordon responded on Twitter to the news that Bobbi was off life support, writing Wednesday: 'We keep praying, she has fought hard this long don't give up hope.'

It appeared that he shut down his Twitter account a few hours later - on Thursday.

Meanwhile a statement on behalf of the Houston family thanked 'everyone for their support and prayers' before adding: 'She is in God's hands now.'

The lawsuit states: 'Just prior to January 31, 2015, Brown had confided to someone that [Gordon] was not the man she thought he was and set up a time on January 31, 2015 to meet with this person to further discuss this revelation.

'Brown, however, never made it to the meeting. Instead, on the morning of January 31, 2015, Brown became embroiled in a loud argument with [Gordon] at her townhome.

'The loud argument ended and Brown was later found unresponsive and unconscious, face down in a bathtub, with her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out.'

The lawsuit accuses Gordon of physically assaulting Bobbi multiple times - including 'punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth, and dragging her upstairs by the hair'.

It goes on to claim; 'Even after Brown's hospitalization, and while she was in a coma, [Gordon] accessed Brown's bank account(s) and stole in excess of $11,000 from Brown's bank account(s).'

PEACHTREE CHRISTIAN HOSPICE: THE SHORT-TERM PALLIATIVE CARE FACILITY WHERE BOBBI KRISTINA'S FAMILY HAS GATHERED

Located in Duluth, Georgia about an hour outside of Atlanta, Peachtree Christian Hospice provides a home-like feel for family members of patients requiring 'acute care.'

The facility has only 16 beds, many of them private, and each family has a suite of sorts in which to gather during the short stays provided for at the facility.

Peachtree Christian Hospice is located on over eight landscaped acres that feature ponds, flower gardens and a gazebo where families may gather.

There is also a claim that Gordon falsely represented himself as Bobbi's husband, gaining access to her accounts and trust - something she began to question last year. The lawsuit is asking for at least $10million in punitive damages for these assault claims.

On the battery claims, the lawsuit says Gordon 'engaged in and caused unwanted, harmful and offensive bodily contact to Brown'.

It gets more specific, claiming that the harm caused by Gordon included 'loss of teeth, pain and suffering, and trauma that has required medical treatment as a direct consequence of [Gordon's] physical abuse'.

On these battery claims, the lawsuit is asking for at least another $10million in punitive damages.

Next the lawsuit accuses Gordon of infliction of emotional distress, claiming he 'committed domestic abuse against Brown without provocation and/or justification, which resulted in substantial bodily injury'.

It then adds that Gordon allegedly inflicted 'visible life altering bodily harm' on Bobbi, causing her to suffer 'severe emotional distress'.

For this, the lawsuit asks for at least another $10million in punitive damages.

Next comes the conversion claims and that Gordon allegedly stole from Bobbi while she was in a coma.

'While Brown was in a medically-induced coma, [Gordon] intentionally and without consent or authorization transferred money from brown's bank account(s) to his own bank account.'

It then said that even though Bobbi is unable to ask for her assets back, given her medical state, Gordon having them is 'an exercise of wrongful dominion or control ... and detrimental to Brown's rights as the owner'.

For the damages Bobbi has suffered as a result of this, the lawsuit requests a minimum of $10million in punitive damages.

This make the total amount being asked for the suit a minimum of $40million in damages.

The lawsuit goes on to ask that the matter be tried by a jury.

Following Bobbi's admission to the hospital, Gordon appeared on Dr. Phil, where the TV host had an intervention with the young man, who had been abusing Xanax and alcohol.

Referring to Whitney Houston - who took in Gordon when he was 12 and raised him as a son - and Bobbi - who he calls Krissy - he said: 'I lost the most legendary singer ever and I’m scared to lose Krissy.

'I want to let all you guys know I did everything possible in the world to protect them.'

The night before the dramatic intervention, DailyMail.com caught Gordon in his hotel, so drunk he could not even stand.

His mother Michelle was also present at the intervention, saying her son was torn up because he could not see Bobbi in the hospital. Soon after he completed a stint in rehab.

In March, Bobbi's family said she was transferred from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta to a rehabilitation center.

She remained on life support there until Wednesday afternoon, when she was taken to a hospice.

Her aunt Pat - the wife of Whitney's brother Gary - and Bobbi's dad Bobby Brown have joint legal guardianship of her.

Sources close to Bobby Brown, who was married to Whitney for 14 years, said just three weeks ago that he would 'never' disconnect his daughter from the machines keeping her alive.

'Don't believe any reports that Bobby is going to take her off life support,' an unnamed family source told People on May 28.

'He's never going to do that.'

'I don't think he'll ever go there; if there's a 2 per cent chance, a 1 per cent chance, a 0.1 per cent chance, he will keep hope alive.'

But her daughter's worsening condition seems to have changed his mind.

Bobbi's estate is worth around $20million. It was bequeathed through her mother Whitney's will.

Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012, when she accidentally drowned in a bathtub in the Beverly Hills Hotel. The 'effects' of heart disease and cocaine were cited as contributing factors.

With her mother gone, Bobbi Kristina reportedly became more and more dependent on Gordon and they allegedly immersed themselves in the drug scene in Atlanta where they lived.

A month ago Bobbi's grandmother Cissy Houston told Entertainment Tonight that Bobbi had made no progress at all during the months she had been hospitalized.

The 81-year-old said whatever happened was up to God.

'She's not gone yet but, you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her... I have nothing to do with that. That's His job. It's His territory, you know? And I understand it,' she told ET.
