She plays a foul-mouthed, flirty mum in the new Magic Mike movie.

And at the film's Los Angeles afterparty on Thursday night, Andie MacDowell, 57, channelled her fun-loving character as she got up close and personal with a troupe of hunky male strippers.

The 57-year-old actress looked gorgeous in a silky black dress as she hit the party following the glittering premiere for the hugely anticipated sequel.

Andie looked like she had the time of her life at the star-studded bash, with the star keen to meet the shirtless dancers following their performance.

The flirty actress giggled as she checked out one hunk's muscles before posing up a storm for the cameras.

The stunning star looked chic in a little black dress which featured a silky panel and draped hem to make the most of her long legs.

While attending the Magic Mike premiere this week, Andie Macdowell dressed demurely in a draped crepe and silk dress which looked gorgeous on her.

Andie left her dark locks loose and wavy and added a pair of pretty drop earrings and a slick of lipgloss to finish off her glam premiere look.

The actress joins the all-star cast of the follow-up to the 2012 hit movie, playing a scene-stealing mother of a friend Channing Tatum and his stripper buddies are planning to meet during a road trip.

Andie told the Guardian this week that she was desperate for the role as it's so different to the others she played throughout her thirty year career. 'She's really wild, and foul-mouthed...I say: "Watch your f**kin' language." Which I think is a great line. Hahahaha! Watch your f**kin' language,' she laughed.

The actress added in the interview though that she made one important change to her character, removing a cougar reference in the script. 'I think it's unfair that we don't have a male equivalent,' she explained.

'There was a cougar line; I took it out. I didn't wanna say it. I have a problem with the word. I just think it's unnecessary. It's demeaning. I think the idea that men get more handsome and sexier as they get older is a fallacy. There's no difference. We're the same.'

'It was a way to empower men and disempower women. And that's changing, because if I wanna date someone that's 20 years younger than me, I can do that now.'
