Tunisia beach massacre survivors on terror of being trapped in hotel with ISIS maniac

A British couple have told how bungling hotel staff in Tunisia sent them fleeing for their lives down a dead-end corridor, where the bloodthirsty gunman - who shot down 38 tourists on a beach yesterday - threw bombs at them. Rebecca Smith, 22, from Coventry, said she was 'peppered with shrapnel' which she thought had taken off her jaw. Her boyfriend Ross Thompson said: 'Then we could hear him coming up the stairs... We tried to escape but he caught us.' The couple (both pictured, left), who were on the first day of their two-week Thompson holiday, are now recovering at the Sahloul Hospital in Sousse. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bloody attack in Sousse yesterday, naming Seifeddine Rezgui (inset) as the man who opened fire on a beach packed with innocent holiday makers. Today, people wept at the scene of the massacre (right), as thousands of British tourists prepared to board flights back home. Another British woman also told how she was shot in the leg by the terrorist and believes she would be dead if her glasses case had not diverted the bullet into her thigh.

Surf's up! Boardriders take on massive waves at remote Western Australian break as offshore storm sends walls of water slamming ashore

Surf’s up! Boardriders take on the biggest waves in years off at remote Western Australian

Surfers in Western Australia from Margaret River to Gnaraloo have paddled out into towering six-metre waves after a massive storm produced 'once in a decade swell'. The enormous swell, namely in Cowaramup Bay near Margaret River, is a result of strong low pressure systems around 2,000 kilometres off the south-west coast, which has been forming over the last week. Paul Vivers, a forecaster from the Bureau of Meteorology, said gale force winds have caused 'freak sets' that could potentially produce '30 or 40 foot waves'.
