The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions seeks donations to support the ongoing work of the Council and the planning of the 2015 Parliament of the World's Religions.  From supporting and connecting grassroots interreligious efforts in communities across the globe to hosting the world's largest interreligious gatherings, the Council is hard at work building bridges of understanding and cooperation. The work of the Council empowers individuals and communities of faith to join with people of good will in encounter, dialogue, visioning and commitment. Your financial support makes this important work possible.

The Upcoming Parliament

Over 8,000 participants came to Melbourne for the Parliament in 2009.  Our next Parliament will be announced in 2014.

Partner Cities Network

This program targets cities around the world to become Partner Cities to build self-sustaining local inter-religious movements. The Council provides tools, consultation and certification to help cities introduce activities locally.

Ambassador Program

This initiative supports the vision and mission of the Parliament of the World's Religions in communities throughout the world. Representatives are selected for two-year terms to connect with existing local interfaith organizations and speak to community groups and other agencies about the CPWR vision and mission. More than one hundred Ambassadors worldwide make communications abailable regarding best practices for creating and sustaining interfaith collaborations on ground, bring the interests and concerns of the local communities to the global stae at the International Parliaments.

Campaign Against Hate

The goals of the Campaign Against Hate are to strengthen and empower interfaith awareness and activity to confront the rising hate in the U.S.A. These goals will be achieved by facilitating conversations among the interfaith leaders, providing training in various sacred spaces for interfaith advocates and their guiding institutions, and offering fresh resources to assist them in promoting peaceful outreach.

Newsletters, Webinars, and Trainings

We publish a topically current and thematically rich e-newsletter every two weeks to share important news and events from around the world. Monthly online webinars address cutting-edge issues and are hosted by prominent religious thinkers and leaders.

Regional Gatherings

Modeled after our international Parliament, this initiative creates a framework for holding regional interfaith events/gatherings, giving voice to those who have not been heard before in a public environment where all groups are given equal acknowledgment and mutual respect.

Sacred Space & Community

Because sacred spaces are a tangible means for community-building, the Council organizes Open Houses in diverse places of worship and practice in the Chicago area and throughout the international Partner Cities Network.

Scholarship Program

Each year we receive requests from passionate and committed individuals who are struggling financially and do not have the resources to participate in Council programs and activities. In response to the generosity of our membership, we are creating a scholarship fund to help others who need financial assistance.
