The building has held the function of being home to the St David's lifeboat in Pembrokeshire for over 100 years, with its brave crew saving hundreds of lives.
However a new £9.5million lifeboat station is being built 300 yards away and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has put the old one up for sale to the highest bidder.
The estate agents describe it as an 'Exciting coastal property with development potential' as it could be possible to get outline planning to convert the Grade II listed building into a home but with restriction to retain many of its architectural features.

The new owners will be able to use the slope as a way to head straight into the sea for a refreshing morning dip if they wish.
For more than 100 years the building has been home to the St David’s lifeboat in Pembrokeshire where the brave crew has saved hundreds of lives
Meryl Lewis, of estate agent Savills, said: 'It is an amazing building in an incredible spot - the view would be hard to beat anywhere.
'There is potential for a mezzanine so the new owner could gaze out to sea to their heart's content.
'And maybe they could even have a jacuzzi on the slipway.'
Nature lovers will be wowed by the lifeboat station St Justinian cove location, which boats breathtaking views across to Ramsey island, home to seals, fulmars and peregrine falcons.

Nestled on a rocky outcrop in stunning Pembrokeshire national park in Wales, the unique property couldn't be in a better spot for lovers of the sea - because it is perched above it
Savills, the estate agents dealing with the sale, say it is a unique opportunity for buyers to get their hands on an historic building - but they are remaining tight-lipped as to what they expect it to go for
Whoever buys the old station will have incredible views of the lifeboat - the Norah Wortley - being launched down the slipway from the new station
The fascinating building and slipway was constructed in 1911 and is made of timber-framed walls clad in cream, painted, corrugated iron with a curved red roof.
It stands on reinforced concrete latticed piers strong enough to withstand the Atlantic gales which blow in each winter.
The property sale brochure shows interiors of the wooden clad building with the crew's lifejackets hanging up ready for the next call out.
Ms Lewis said: 'There is planning for a variety of uses, one of which is residential. It would make a fabulous holiday home.
'The only reservation at the moment is there is nowhere to park a car.'
