Sun-kissed Coleen Rooney dons flirty minidress in the colours of husband Wayne's team Manchester United as they attend wedding in Portugal

They say you should never wear white to a wedding unless you are the bride.

But a sun-kissed Coleen Rooney, 29, threw protocol aside by opting for a white and red-spotted dress as she and her husband Wayne attended the nuptials of a close friend in the Algarve last week.

Stylish as ever, the married couple looked like they were enjoying the sunshine as they watched Wayne's football pal Alex Bruce tie the knot with his partner Lucy.

Coleen, who is on holiday in the Portuguese resort with the England captain, looked radiant in the figure-hugging frock.

Similar to her husband's Manchester United colours, the mother-of-two wore red heels and and held a matching Yves Saint Laurent clutch that perfectly complemented her dress.

Finishing off her look with a continental flourish, Coleen wore a bright red flower in her hair.

Both Coleen and Wayne were seen arriving back at a blustery Liverpool airport on Monday evening following the festivities.

The high school sweethearts, parents of sons Kai, five, and Klay, two, have been together for 13 years and tied the knot in July 2008.

Coleen confidently paraded her sun-kissed limbs in tiny black and white shorts, which was styled further with a layered blouse and a sleeveless blazer.

With her golden-tinted tresses swept into a chic ponytail, the mother-of-two radiated a gorgeous glow as she made her way towards her ride home while toting her luggage.

Coleen recently claimed regular date nights is the secret to their long-term relationship.

'We've had our ups and downs and it's been tough at times but we've had so many happy ones too,' she told MailOnline. 'It's just about being as strong individually as we are together and that's all that can happen in a relationship.

'Also now that we have two kids, we make sure that we have time together. We make sure that one night a week we go out for dinner or go to the cinema.'
