'Transformers is the dummy rap': Shia LaBeouf disses film franchise that made him famous while delivering lyrics freestyle

Shia LaBeouf dissed the movie that made him famous in a freestyle rap video posted on Sunday.

The 29-year-old actor was seen shirtless in the YouTube video reeling off impromptu raps.

Someone in the small crowd gathered around Shia mentioned Autobot scout Bumblebee from the Transformers movies after Shia asked for them to 'give him words'.

'Nah, none of that. Transformers is the dummy rap and I'm so past that,' Shia rapped.

'I want some new s***,' he continued.

Shia portrayed Sam Witwicky in 2007's Transformers and reprised the role in 2009's Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and in 2011's Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.

The Los Angeles native also declared himself the 'best in the West' during his rap.

He threw down that he eats his rivals 'like tuna casserole' while noting his cultural and religious background.

'Yessir, this Jewish kid still spew this sick s*** though, watch me I got a sick flow,' he rapped.

Shia also dropped in some historical references as he rhymed potatoes with Galileo in reference to Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei.

'I'm so underground the rap kids call me Tubman,' he also rapped referencing Underground Railroad conductor Harriet Tubman.

It was unclear when the video was taken but appeared to be recent as Shia was sporting his current rattail hairstyle.

Shia was hospitalised last week after suffering an accident on the set of his new movie American Honey.

He was filming a scene in North Dakota that required him to put his head through a glass window but the stunt went awry.

Shia received stitches on his head and hand after the incident.
