He split from his long-time girlfriend Gigi Hadid just one month ago.

But it seems Cody Simpson was ready to let go of the past when he headed out for the night with two pals on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old couldn't wipe the smile off his face as he walked towards Bootsy Bellows nightclub in West Hollywood - usually reserved for those over the age of 21.

Wearing a pair of dark denim skinny jeans, the Australian added a white polo shirt and a light blue long sleeves shirt, which he left unbuttoned to her casual attire.

Cody finished off his laid back look with a pair of grey and white sneakers and a black beanie which covered up most of his beach blonde surfer locks.

The pop star looked pleased that he'd gained entry to the club despite being three years younger than the legal age in the US.

Standing out the front of the popular night spot, the Gold Coast-born spunk was spotted chatting to an unknown brunette, who was dressed in a pair of black skin-tight jeans and a loose-fitted white T-shirt.

The young star's outing comes a day after rumours that he had begun dating Selena Gomez.

The questions over the pair's relationship came after the former Disney star uploaded a snap of them enjoying ice cream to social media.

Selena captioned the photo: 'These days are always the best days,' while Cody's mother Angie reposted the snap onto her account just moments after.

The pair's hang out came two days after Selena's ex and Cody's close pal, Justin Bieber arrived in Australia and model Gigi flew out to London with her new rumoured boyfriend, Joe Jonas.

Gigi and Cody broke off their two year relationship in May due to 'busy schedules' according to their joint statement.
