Ten French policeman were called in to protect Harry Styles as he landed at Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris.

Because of a large number of fans awaiting his arrival, the extra security was brought in so the singer could safely leave the airport after flying in from Los Angeles.

Looking somewhat nervous as the team of officers escorted him out of the airport, Harry, 19 maneuvered his way towards his waiting car.

Not that it was a quick journey; with so many fans flocking to see the star, it proved to be a tough squeeze out of the airport.

And his usual cheeky smile was certainly missing from his face, no doubt flustered from such extreme attention.

On the flight over, Harry had changed shirts, switching his white, Green Bay Packers T-shirt for a plain black one.

Harry had flown into Paris to meet up with his One Direction bandmates ahead of the first date on the European leg of their tour.

But it wasn't the first time in 24 hours that the 19-year old has been bombarded by fans,

One Directioners couldn't get enough of him as he pulled into the Los Angeles International airport for a departing flight, on Saturday.

Harry was clearly overwhelmed as his many admirers swarmed in for impromptu snaps and autographs inside the airport terminal.

Showing his sporting colour, Harry donned the American football T-shirt for the day of travel.

But he could not have been prepared for the game of bob and weave as he shouldered his way through the phalanx of eager amateur smartphone photographers blocking his path.

Meanwhile, the overwhelming attention at the airport comes after rumours that Harry spent the night with Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly.

Given his track record with older women, their 14 year age gap is more of a temptation than any kind of barrier to Harry Styles dating Kimberly Stewart.

However, Harry emerged from Rod's home - it's more of a compound those who have visited suggest, with many different houses and a football pitch within - this morning to collect coffee.

Two coffees, to be precise, and according to a source on the scene, a certain blonde haired rock progency was hiding in the car waiting to receive her caffeine injection.

Still in his teens, Harry joined Rod, 68, and Penny, 42, and Kimberly, 33, for dinner at Dan Tana's restaurant in West Hollywood on Thursday night.

Leaving the food place, the three all jumped into the same car, and Harry seemed rather taken with a token from the night in the form of a red flower.

That same evening Rod had taken to the stage at Los Angeles' famous music venue, The Troubadour.

The show was an intimate concert and showcase event for his latest album, Time - out on May 7th - Harry may well have been in the audience.

And as ex-pats like to stick together, the singer probably invited him along for dinner with Penny after the show. 

Harry flew out to LA as the UK leg of One Direction's tour came to an end.

And yet again he left his bandmates Zayn Malik, 20, Liam Payne, 19, Niall Horan, 19, and Louis Tomlinson, 21, behind to enjoy his time off alone.

Though this is unsurprising, considering the amount of time the group spend together already.

Sadly the break didn't come in time to experience any of the live music on offer at Coachella, which is something the singer was all too aware about.

Not only did his best mate Grimmy, 28, head across the pond to the festival with Pixie Geldof, Henry Holland and Rita Ora, but a fan tweeted a photo of a cardboard cutout of Harry and Zayn at the festival, which peaked his interest enough to reply: 'it looks so good! You having fun?'

But Harry will no doubt be looking forward to the European leg of One Direction's tour, beginning on April 29th in Paris, France.

It escapes me how anyone can think he's NOT hot??? The kid is gorgeous and he's got massive charisma. You can't learn that, you're born with it. He looks so amazing in those Ray Bans my God, they should grab him as their spokesperson ;)

You lot are so weird. He's had everything handed to him on a plate, he's mega rich with no outstanding talent and you all feel sorry for him because he can't get much privacy. That is the one thing that he has to put up with in return for loads of cash. He doesn't have to worry about writing the next One Direction album because that will be done for him, his job is to look pretty.

I Cant believe just how "Lucky these boys have got!! From just appearing on a talent show and a few singles later they are now Set For Life (Financialy) its astonishing to sit back and watch how good marketing works. It is irrelevant whether they will last the distance really. They have all earned enough now that if it all falls apart tomorrow they will still be set. Harry & Liam seem to have wise heads as i know a lot of their earnings have been invested in stocks and property... The thing that saddens me is that the other boys all seem to be "Playing Extras" in what appears to be Harry's life. They seem to be aware they are there to keep their heads down, get on with it, and keep schtum and be paid handsomely for the trade off.

One Direction do have talent and they CAN sing. just because it may not be what you listen to does not mean it isnt talent. People are saying we only judge them on their looks but that isnt fair. I personally love their music and them being goodlooking is just an added bonus. Some of their fans might be young and some might be older but they still have talent and people enjoy listening to their music. Harry can have older friends if he likes maybe he just feels he can get on getter with more mature people and it is probably a nice break from always being around guys his age on tour. Sure they get on well and everything but it would get a bit too much for me to handle. They all deal with the fame in their own ways and I think everyone should respect the boys and understand that it is tough and they do have trouble but so does everyone else with their jobs. Everyone has stress in their lives and that doesn't exclude celebrities. Don't throw hate around willy nilly coz that is BULLYING!
