Try this on for size! Teri Hatcher gives a personal demonstration as she sells off bra collection for charity

Teri Hatcher's bras were going cheap.

And judging by the volume of lacy underthings the actress was selling off at the Celebrity Yard Sale Benefiting Juvenile Arthritis Association on Saturday she doesn't have many left either.

Teri's table was certainly popular as it boasted a colourful heap of brassieres in assorted soft materials and shades - black, dark grey, nude, ivory, pink, print and two-tone variations.

The Desperate Housewives star gave onlookers an intimate show on how bras are to be worn, placing one floral example over her summer dress and laughing all the while.

They were disappearing fast as Teri's brassieres, which she presumably has worn herself, were in the very affordable five to ten dollar price range.

It didn't hurt that the 48-year-old gorgeous actress was personally doling them out with perfectly manicured coral-tipped hands.

So inviting: Teri beckoned all at the outdoor event that took place in Glendale, California and benefited the Juvenile Arthritis Assocation

Teri beckoned curious sightseers with her attractive smile and svelte figure that she draped in an interesting black and beige patterned sleeveless dress that was accessorised with a leather belt and suede ankle boots.

The Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman star also brought her 15-year-old daughter Emerson along to help.

In addition to her intimate wear, Teri also placed other items up for sale including a framed poster of Seinfeld star Jason Alexander, shirtless and wearing only his boxers and socks and posing most comically.

Of course Teri had one of the most famous lines on Seinfeld when she guest-starred as Jerry's girlfriend.

When Jerry suggested that her character's breasts were cosmetically enhanced, Teri quipped: 'They're real and they're spectacular.'

Teri had a great time at the outdoor event which took place at the Americana at Brand shopping centre in Glendale, California.

The star got to show off her musical talent in the disc jockey booth, testing all the little buttons.

Teri also took time out to get an airbrush tattoo on her upper arm, smiling just like a teenager.

Since the end of Desperate Housewives, the actress has been keeping busy with her career too.

She recently completed the comedy I Brake For Gringos and voiced the part of Dottie in the animated feature Planes, which is expected to hit US theatres August 9.
