Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will kick off the new Barclays Premier League season at lunchtime on August 8.
Old Trafford has been granted the honour of starting the season for the second time in a row having been selected by BT Sport for the live television fixture.
Last season United were beaten by Swansea City at home in what was Louis van Gaal's first match in charge.

And Swansea will again be involved in live action on the opening day as they visit champions Chelsea for an evening kick-off live on Sky Sports.
In total, Sky will show 24 matches live in August and September, with BT showing seven Saturday lunchtime kick-offs in those two months.

Manchester United and Chelsea will be the most televised teams, with six appearances each, while Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton are scheduled to be on five teams each.
Newly-promoted Watford - one of six teams on TV just once in August and September - have the longest wait for their first TV match, which comes at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, September 27.
On August 14, Sky will broadcast Aston Villa v Manchester United in the season's only Friday night fixture.
This is owing to an English Defence League march being held in Walsall on the Saturday and United's participation in Champions League qualifying.
