They say where there is smoke, there is fire, but when there is hip hop's and pop's biggest weed enthusiasts in one room there is certainly a lot of smoke too.

Miley Cyrus and Snoop Dogg appear to be collaborating on some new music - and a joint or two.

On Friday afternoon, the 22-year-old songstress posted an Instagram picture of herself and the D.O.G.G partaking a marijuana smoke session.

Of course neither of these two stars are shy about their taste for the drug - which is legal for medicinal use in California where they both live - so it can come at no shock that the pair may be found in a cloud of smoke.

Miley - who was recently snapped sharing a kiss with rumoured girlfriend Victoria's Secret Angel Stella Maxwell - wore a tank which brought into question whether gender is a social construct.

The star's tank said, 'Gender is over' in big writing with 'If you want it' in smaller point.

Snoop meanwhile posed up in a cloud print Adidas tank and wore a pair of retro frame glasses.

In addition to the candid smoking snap, Miley also shared a picture of the pair in which the singer was smoking a join and Snoop had one photoshopped into his mouth.

After her day of smoking and presumably song writing and recording, Miley was seen heading out in Studio City, California.

After a big day, the Can't Stop, Won't Stop star was obviously very hungry so they grabbed a big bag of to-go food too.

For her lunch run, the star ensured she would turn heads - and not for all the right reasons - by stepping out in a pair of men's long johns.
