Monica Lewinsky hints at her trim middle in a youthful crop top and fitted checkered trousers at Opera Gallery London event

Monica Lewinsky was taking in some fashion heritage on Wednesday night as she helped London's Opera Gallery celebrate its 10th Anniversary.

The former US citizen attended a private viewing of the new photography exhibition Raw Footage among guests including Naomie Harris, Sienna Guillory and Amanda Wakeley.

The 41-year-old showed off a trim image in a crop top and fitted black and white trousers, setting off the suitably stylish ensemble with a colour pop of cobalt shoes.

Make Monica's gingham pants a staple in your closet

We think these pants are one of the best things to happen to legs all week! Monica Lewinsky really has maximized her figure to it's full potential with this ensemble, anchored expertly by those Altuzarra Serge gingham bootcut pants.

The gentle flare of the monochrome pants accentuates the length of her legs whilst the high waist supports and nips in the waist. The chic black top and striking blue pumps finishes the look perfectly.

We'd been so caught up in our obsession for eternally stylish stripes and plaid that if we're honest, gingham had slipped from our sight. But yup, now we're obsessed again. If you are too click right to SAKS to get Monica's exact pants- they're in the sale for just $267 from $890!

The exhibition is being laid on to showcase the exquisite works of some of the worlds most iconic fashion photographers, photographing famous names from Kate Moss to Rosie Huntington Whiteley.

While US Speaker Monica is still best known for her exposed relationship with President Clinton, she's only recently emerged from relative obscurity.

A former White House intern in the Nineties, Monica has come out of the shadows after around a decade to shed light on issues such as bullying, public shaming and sexual scapegoating, to the likes of what she previously experienced.

It was her recent Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity speech that earned her a standing ovation as she spoke to the creative elite about 'public shaming as a blood sport.'

Monica's brave move saw her confess on stage: 'At the age of 22, I fell in love with my boss,' before adding, 'And at the age of 24, I learned the devastating consequences.

'So as far as our culture of humiliation goes, what we need is a cultural revolution. We need to return to a long-held value of compassion, compassion and empathy.

She continued: 'Today we call it cyberbullying and online harassment. Online, technologically enhanced shaming is amplified, uncontained and permanently accessible.

'Public shaming as a blood sport must stop. It’s time for an intervention on the internet and in the culture.'
