Tiger Wood's ex girlfriend Lindsey Vonn made a surprise appearance at British tennis tournament Wimbledon to lend her support to Caroline Wozniacki.

The blonde posted a photograph of the pair after Wozniacki, 24, cruised into the fourth round of Wimbledon by beating Camila Giorgi 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday.

Vonn captioned the smiling picture: 'So fun watching @carowozniacki crush it today!! #strongchick #girlpower'.

Match: Wozniacki, 24, cruised into the fourth round of Wimbledon by beating Camila Giorgi 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday

Wozniacki, the World number five is into the second week for the fifth time at the All England Club, but has lost all four of her previous fourth-round matches.

This time she'll face 20th-seeded Garbine Muguruza of Spain, who needed to win a marathon tiebreaker before beating former semi-finalist Angelique Kerber 7-6 (12), 1-6, 6-2.

Vonn, an Olympic skier and Wozniacki may have bonded over their personal lives as each have faced a difficult time of late.

The skier and Woods split in May, amid allegations the golfer cheated on her during a break in their two year relationship.

The Daily Mail online revealed that during 'time apart' Woods cheated on Vonn - with a 'faceless, nameless woman.'

But both made statements that the split was amicable.

Meanwhile, Wozniacki, used to be in a long-term relationship with golfer Rory McIlroy before their high profile split last year.

She previously admitted that she was 'stunned and heartbroken' when the Irish sports star suddenly called off their engagement after the wedding invitations had been sent out.

He had proposed to her in December 2013 but as the wedding plans picked up speed, he realized he wasn't ready for such a big commitment.

Since then, she has been spotted with NFL Houston Texans player JJ Watt on more than one occasion, sparking rumors that they are in a relationship.

But the Dane recently told The Daily Mail that she's not currently dating anyone. She said: 'I am single and happy to live my life. I'm not looking for anybody or anything, I'm just living my life.

For now, she will focus on her career as she makes a bid for her first grand slam title at Wimbledon.

She said: 'When I am on court I am so focused on what I am doing, that's all I think about trying to win the next point. I just do my thing and live my life like a normal 24-year-old.'
