Tottenham have agreed a new five-year contract for midfielder Nabil Bentaleb.
The 20-year-old was given his break in the first team by Tim Sherwood and has established himself further under Mauricio Pochettino making 35 first team appearances last season and being called up to represent Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations. The deal ties him to the club until 2020.

Struggling striker Roberto Soldado, who is widely expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer, took to Twitter to congratulate the pair, saying: 'Congratulations... for your new contract!! I hope you invite to meal or something'.
The news will be welcomed by Spurs supporters who have seen Bentaleb form an impressive midfield partnership with another academy graduate Ryan Mason, who recently won his first cap for England.
Earlier in June, Bentaleb had expressed his frustration over prolonged negotiations, while revealing he had received 'interest from Champions League clubs'.
However, speaking to the club's official website about his aims for the new season, he said: 'To push on from last season. If we could win a trophy and qualify for the Champions League, that would be a big achievement. We know what it would mean to the fans and the club.

'Some of us were disappointed but at the end of it all we realised we'd had a good season having finished fifth in the league and reached a cup final as well. We had a new head coach in his first year at the club and we've been adapting to his new way of working and style of play.'
Tottenham have also handed new terms to promising midfielder Harry Winks.
The 19-year-old, who signed his first professional deal last year, has been handed a three-year deal with the option of a fourth.
