Any woman who has wrestled with their hair during the humid summer months can relate to how difficult it is enjoy fun in the sun when the weather is wreaking havoc on your locks.

That seemingly never-ending struggle to keep your hair under control is the subject of a new video by comedian Graydon Sheppard, co-creator and star of the Sh*t Girls Say video series. Sh*t Girls Say About Hair pokes fun at how women stress about their hair during the summer months.

Like the other video in the hilarious series, which was created in collaboration with hair care brand Aussie, Graydon dresses as his female alter ego, who, throughout the hilarious clip, continues to lament her struggle to keep her tresses looking at its best while enjoying a day at the beach with her boyfriend.

At the start of the clip, the female Graydon looks at the mirror and whines: 'My hair is so boring'.

But in the next scene he is bragging about 'having such a good hair day'.

He also pokes fun at the fact that women are constantly losing their bobby pins and hair ties - even when they are right in front of them

Throughout the video Graydon goes through a series of emotions depending on whether or not his hair is cooperating.

He gleefully asks his character's boyfriend to take pictures of him at the beach, but when a wave crashes into the pier and soaks his perfectly styled locks, he has a minor meltdown.

'I hate the beach,' he cries while running home to deep condition his hair. 'I hate nature.'

Graydon swears he will only need 'five minutes' to fix his hair. However, when he gets into the bathroom and sees the tangled mess one trip to the beach has resulted in, he threatens to shave his head before putting on a deep conditioning mask.

Leaving the mask to sit in his hair, he wanders outside and asks the girl next door for a hair clip – prompting her to suggest that he try Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, noting that the product will help him get in and out of the shower in 'no time'.

This is the second time Graydon has teamed up with Aussie. In January, he appeared in a similar ad for the company after a two-year hiatus from Sh*t Girls Say, which he co-founded with his boyfriend Kyle Humphrey.

In both ads, Aussie encourages women to '#DitchTheDrama' and spend less time on their hair.

Sh*t Girls Say started as a Twitter account in April 2011, and by December of that year, Graydon and Kyle debuted their first video in the popular series, which has been viewed more than 20 million times since it was posted.

The videos became an overnight success, and while they haven't created as many as some would like, the Sh*t Girls Say Twitter account, which has nearly two million followers, remains active.
