It's glamorous Aunt Pippa! Kate's younger sister shows off her slim figure in chic 1950s-style cream dress

  • Pippa Middleton wore a cream dress and cream hat for the christening
  • She arrived at the church with her brother and parents
  • Neither Pippa or James were chosen as Princess Charlotte's godparent

The Duchess of Cambridge's sister Pippa missed out on being a royal godparent for a second time, as did brother James and William's brother Prince Harry.

But the 31-year-old showed no signs of disappointment as she appeared for her niece Princess Charlotte's christening at St Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham.

Pippa shone with happiness as she showed up at the chapel with her mother Carole, who looked elegant in lilac, her father Michael and brother James.

Stun in a creme colored dress like Pippa's

So it runs in the family! After Kate stunned us in her McQueen dress coat, we waited impatiently to see what her stylish sister would wear to the royal baby's christening. And, oh my goodness, it was well worth the wait!

Pippa turned to the classic English women's wear designer, Emilia Wickstead for a gorgeous bespoke creme colored midi dress.

Like twins, these two stylish sisters always turn up in similar, but different outfits--case in point: Prince George's christening.

Like the Bouvier sisters of yesteryear, these two are known for their remarkable taste and elegant sophistication.

We love the classic silhouette of Pippa's dress-- the fitted waist, the high neck and flared skirt. While we can't buy Pippa's exact dress, we can be inspired by different elements in it's design.

She looked elegant in a cream dress and stiletto cream court shoes, with minimal jewellery in the form of tear drop earrings.

Pippa topped off her look with a bespoke Jane Taylor straw cocktail hat with organdy and feather detail.

Jane Taylor trained with the Queen's milliner Marie O'Reagan and has worked with several members of the royal family in the past, including Zara Phillips, Princess Eugenie and the Countess of Wessex.

She said: 'Pippa Middleton is the epitome of elegance and style and I could not be more honoured to see her wearing one of my designs.'

At Prince George's baptism in 2013, Pippa opted for a 'trapeze' coat and 'Paris' dress by British designer, Suzannah Crabb.

Pippa will have undoubtedly given this outfit much thought - in 2013, Suzannah revealed that the socialite had worked with her over a few months to create the perfect outfit for George's big day.

The designer said she undertook 'hours of research into the history of royal christenings' to create something truly fitting of the occasion.

She said: 'We aimed for understated beauty, drawing inspiration from a 1960s coat dress that I bought in LA, among other vintage looks and archive pieces.

'The outfit had to be both beautiful and appropriate from the length of the hem, to the style of the millinery and the subtle colour and cut.

'Lace has been a popular fabric choice by significant guests at royal christenings since 1926 and a dress in a style similar was worn by Princess Victoria of Sweden to the christening of her daughter Princess Estelle in 2012.'
