It's the magnolia Middletons! How Kate, Pippa and Carole can't get enough of wearing the cheerfully inoffensive cream shade... so are they on-trend or boring?
- Kate, Pippa and Carole all wore magnolia for the new royal's baptism
- Trio have long championed the colour and it's Kate's favourite
- Fashion experts say it's a very literal way of dressing
- They wish Kate would add more colour to her wardrobe
She's a global style icon with immense selling power so it's hardly surprising that women try and emulate the Duchess of Cambridge in the sartorial stakes.
But it seems two women a little closer to home have been taking some inspiration from the royal.
For most people, dressing like your mother and sister is usually best avoided but clearly Kate, Carole and Pippa aren't bothered because the trio all stepped out in strikingly similarly hued outfits for Princess Charlotte's christening.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, left, Pippa Middleton, 31, centre, and their mother Carole, 60, right, all stepped out wearing magnolia for Princess Charlotte's christening on Sunday - a hue that's fast become a mainstay in the women's wardrobe
Kate, 33, Pippa, 31, and Carole, 60, all championed magnolia for the new royal's baptism at St Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham; and it's not the first time they've embraced the off-white shade.
Leading the magnolia charge on Sunday was Kate, who looked resplendent - as always - in a cream coatdress by Alexander McQueen.
She completed the look with a white feathered hat, teardrop earrings and a pair of her favourite nude court shoes.
Followed closely behind Kate and Charlotte was her sister Pippa, who shone with happiness as she showed up at the chapel with her mother Carole, her father Michael and brother James.

Be a vision in white in Alexander McQueen
The Duchess of Cambridge looks utterly stunning in her bespoke Alexander McQueen dress coat worn to Princess Charlotte's christening.
Naturally, the sophisticated mommy chose McQueen, her go-to designer for an elegant knee length coat, with wide lapels and fitted waist.
The coat dress is quietly becoming Kate's signature look--the classic, demure design always is versatile and instantly chic.
The beauty is in the details, and when it comes to McQueen, we could expect the utmost attention to tailoring, which is important to bear in mind when going for this look yourself.
Though Kate's coat was made to measure, you can purchase something very similar with a few clicks to your right, at SaksFifthAvenue.com. Like Kate's coat, it also features structured shoulders and a flared skirt.
Of course with a brand like McQueen, we can expect a hefty price tag to match, so if you're in the market for more budget friendly options, browse through out style edit below!
She, too, looked elegant in a magnolia dress and stiletto cream court shoes. Pippa topped off her look with a bespoke Jane Taylor straw cocktail hat with organdy and feather detail.
At Prince George's baptism in 2013, Pippa opted for a 'trapeze' coat and 'Paris' dress by British designer Suzannah Crabb in a similar hue.
Pippa will have undoubtedly given this outfit much thought - in 2013, Suzannah revealed that the socialite had worked with her over a few months to create the perfect outfit for George's big day.

Matriarch Carole has long championed the shade but fashion writer Simon Glazin says Kate should stop borrowing from her mother because it's 'not what Princesses should do'
The designer said she undertook 'hours of research into the history of royal christenings' to create something truly fitting of the occasion.
Kate and Pippa's mother, Carole, also opted for a similar shade to her daughters and looked youthful and chic in an off-cream coatdress with floral embroidery.

In March, The Duchess of Cambridge visited the set of the long-running ITV drama, Downton Abbey, at Ealing Studios in London.

Kate, who was eight months pregnant at the time, was on set to watch a scene from series six being filmed and looked wonderful in a £69 cream 'princess line' coat by high street maternity brand, Jojo Maman Bebe.
A month before that, for a visit to Portsmouth, the Duchess wore a magnolia £810 Max Mara Studio coat.
Once again, women from across the globe rushed to emulate the royal's outfit and her cream coat had sold out online within hours.
In August last year, the Duchess of Cambridge attended a WW1 100 Years Commomoration Ceremony at Le Memorial Interallie in Liege, Belgium, and chose a magnolia coat for her trip.

The women's favourite shade may be classic and chic but fashion writer Simon Glazin isn't impressed.
He said: 'When Kate married William, the fashion industry thought she would really embrace national designer talent, but the minute we saw her in a borrowed-from-her-mother ensemble, we knew that wasn't to be.
'We get that as royals, you need to be neutral, no opinions allowed, but we presumed only in your politics, not dress sense.
'The late Princess Diana embraced colour and print, and even the Queen has a rainbow of a wardrobe, so why stick to white, Kate, Pippa and Carole?
'Don't get me wrong, wearing Alexander McQueen is fabulous, it need not be so vanilla in colouring. For every major event, Kate mostly wears white or off-white. It's a very literal way of dressing.
'She is more adventurous when touring, and her maternity wardrobe includes some print and colour, but it would be great to see her in the current, emerging designers of the UK.
'Stop borrowing from your mother, too. It's not what Princesses should do!'.
