But on Monday, Elle Fanning decided to take a break from her busy schedule to enjoy a low-key day out in the Southern California sunshine.

Turning heads as she walked down the streets of West Hollywood, the 17-year-old actress looked the epitome of summer chic in a retro inspired ensemble, consisting of a lacy blue skirt and a white knotted shirt.

She styled her daytime attire even further by standing tall in purple floral wedges, while toting her belongings in a small Louis Vuitton holdall.

With her blonde tresses left in tousled and tumbling waves, the style star allowed her natural beauty to shine without a trace of makeup.

Elle kicked off her career in showbusiness as a toddler, playing the younger versions of her now 21-year-old sister, Dakota, who also was a child actress.

At age seven, Dakota had her breakout role in 2001's I Am Sam and Elle played a younger version of her character Lucy Diamond Dawson, before finding fame in Daddy Day Care and We Bought A Zoo.

In 2011, Elle went on to play the strong-minded Cleo in Sofia Coppola's film Somewhere, for which she won the Young Hollywood's Actress of the Year award.

Her next film is Three Generations, where she'll star in a challenging role as a transgender teen - it will also feature Naomi Watts and Susan Sarandon.

Then she'll appear in Trumbo as the daughter of the legendary screenwriter, Dalton Trumbo, who will be played by Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston.

In 2016, Elle set to star in How To Talk To Girls At Parties opposite Nicole Kidman as well as the remake of Frankenstein, in A Storm In The Stars.

The Maleficent actress has also got a part in the latest Nicolas Winding Refn film, The Neon Demon, alongside Keanu Reeves and Christina Hendricks, and has also landed a plum role in Ben Affleck's latest directorial effort Live By Night.
