Gary Neville is no stranger to playing in front of a crowd in Old Trafford but the former Manchester United defender took it to new heights on Friday night.
Much to the delight of fans the ex-England international grabbed his guitar and joined band The Charlatans on stage as they played an intimate rooftop gig just a stone's throw from the Theatre of Dreams in Manchester.
The indie rock group entertained a small audience of just 150 people at Neville's Hotel Football, launched earlier this year.

And the 40-year-old United legend couldn't resist the opportunity to join lead singer Tim Burgess and the rest of the band on the stage and played along to Just When You're Thinking Things Over.
Neville's appearance went down a storm with the audience, who were treated to a live set of all the band's biggest hits.
Burgess offered high praise for Neville's performance. 'It was great - best part of the night so far,' he said.
Neville had earlier quipped that 'How High' was the most appropriate track of the night with the gig being held at the top of the 10-storey hotel.
'It's a great song and with the band playing on the roof this could be the signature song for the night!' Neville said.
