David Beckham cuts a low key figure as he shows off athletic frame in T-shirt, jeans and trainers after sharing snaps of Italian feast

He's no stranger to being the centre of attention wherever he goes.

So perhaps in an attempt to go unnoticed David Beckham cut a low key figure on Monday as he stepped out in New York City.

With his heavily inked arms on display, the 40-year-old former football ace failed to go unrecognised as journeyed along in a casual ensemble.

Wearing a T-shirt with black jeans and trainers, David donned his favoured baker boy style cap as he made his was back to the Bowery Hotel.

Raising a smile for waiting photographers, Beckham also caught the eye of some pedestrians who waited to get a glimpse of the global superstar.

The father-of-four is currently in The Big Apple to shoot his latest advert for H&M which will see him star alongside Kevin Hart.

But while taking a break from his filming schedule, David made time to enjoy a meal at one of New York's best loved pizzeria.

After paying a visit to Lucali in Brooklyn, Beckham had nothing but great things to say about the food on offer and took to Instagram to share a collage of his Italian feast.

He wrote alongside the picture: 'Ok if you haven't been to Lucali's in Brooklyn NY I suggest you get yourself a table ASAP .... Just had the most amazing meal there..'

Now an avid fan of the photo-sharing app, David surprised fans on Sunday when he posted snaps of himself alongside comedian Kevin Hart.

Not giving too much away with the captions on the photos, it was later revealed that the two have paired up for a new H&M campaign.

Sporting identical outfits, Beckham and Hart both used the hashtag '#twins' within the description of the images they shared.
