In the video Meghan is seen in the doctor's office as she has her vocal chords inspected.

A TV screen shows the inside of her throat as the doctor examines the damage.

Eventually the doctor says: 'You're going to need significant rest in order to get back into the tour situation...meaning cancel everything.'

The All About That Bass singer captioned the video with a warm apology to her fans:

'I have bad news,' the singer wrote, 'my doctor says I have to postpone two more dates, Detroit & Chicago and sadly I have to cancel my appearance at the Common Ground Music Festival.'

'But there is good news!!' Meghan added. 'I’m feeling much better, have already rescheduled most dates and will come back around to see you all soon!!'

With black and white aerial shots of New York City and a soft guitar song, the video has a poignant tone.

It then shows Dr. Kessler, a Manhattan-based otolaryngologist, viewing Meghan's vocal chords via a screen, which looks like a bottomless eyeball opening and closing.

The singer then sits wearing a Michael Kors hoodie as the doc breaks the bad news.
