Romantic break in the City of Love? Queen Latifah goes casual and make-up free for arrival in Paris with partner Eboni Nichols

Paris is known as the city of love, and it appears that Queen Latifah and her partner Eboni Nichols are set to enjoy a romantic getaway in the French capital.

The 45-year-old actress and her rumoured girlfriend landed at Charles de Gaulle airport on Monday, with the musician and actress adopting a practical and comfy approach to the rigours of flying long-haul.

The Bringing Down The House star cut a relaxed and fresh-faced figure as she arrived in France, opting to forgo make-up and high-end fashion apparel for her travels.

Latifah went for the maximum comfort approach for the journey, pairing a black jumper with grey sweatpants.

The Travlin' Light rapper kept an edge of hip-hop style to her ensemble, donning a leather Gucci sun visor, white sneakers and tortoiseshell sunglasses as she made her way through baggage claim.

Choreographer Eboni adopted a similar approach to her sartorial selection, but kept kept her ensemble on-point by teaming a pair of houndstooth flared trousers with a grey hoodie - accessorizing her look with a jaunty panama hat.

And although the pair were travelling in light clothes, they seemed to be expecting a long stay in Europe as they were pushing trolleys laden with large cases through the travel hub.

The couple may not be the most in-your-face pairing in the states, but they have been spotted out and about several times - though they have actually not yet confirmed their relationship.

Last August they were seen sharing a kiss on the beach in Sardinia, and the pair were spotted out and about enjoying the sunshine in New York in June.

Latifah has always stayed quiet about her private life, even now, but she has been vocal about gay rights - especially concerning black gay, bisexual and transgender people.

In an April interview with Uptown magazine, the award-winning singer did talk about how she believes society isn't accepting enough of black gay people.

'People's ideas in general are antiquated when it comes to who you love,' she said. 'We haven’t moved as quickly as we probably should.

'And the reality is that there’s always been gay people in the black community, so it’s not foreign to us. And not just as a black community but just a society as a whole.'

She claimed that being gay was 'not a character flaw', adding that opposition to gay marriage angers her.
