He may have been ousted by some grocery bags, but baby Rhodes seems perfectly content nonetheless.

The four-month-old was spotted out shopping with his two moms Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The youngster was kicked out of his stroller but had snagged an even better spot, wrapped up securely in a harness while 50-year-old Perry shielded them from the Californian sun with an umbrella.

The 4 Non Blondes frontwoman rocked a worn old pair of Chucks with jeans, a black long-sleeved top and a very Pharrell Williams-looking tall bowler hat.

Sara meanwhile commandeered the child's buggy to carry the few bags of groceries they had picked up, while she balanced an ice coffee as she steered.

The 40-year-old The Talk host wore black trainers and jeans with a yellow sweatshirt and her hair tied back with a bandanna.

The Roseanne star's lithe figure showed now evidence of having given birth only in February, her third child.

She also has two children - 10-year-old Hank Levi and seven-year-old Allison Adler - from her previous relationship with television producer Allison Adler.

Perry, who has written songs such as Christina Aguilera's Beautiful and Gwen Stefani's What You Waiting For? revealed last week that she and Gilbert are working on a new children's album together, having been inspired by the birth of their son.

'I started playing some stuff to her, and the kids were liking it,' she told Us Weekly. 'Then I thought, wouldn't it be fun if you guys gave me topics and we'll call ourselves Dear Sounds, and it'll be an album for kids written by kids.

I wanted to do something the parents would like, since they're going to be the ones listening to it over and over,' she added.

However the band is already having issues, as Rhodes doesn't seem to want to listen to her playing.

'When he's with me, he won't let me play music. I go to the piano and sit him there, and he'll be quiet, but as soon as I start playing, he'll start crying,' she continued. 'I'm trying to figure out what that means. He just wants my attention. Does he love music? I think so.'
