'I have had sex with a lot of married people': Amy Schumer 'auditions' for Real Housewives in hilarious parody video

Amy Schumer's career is too hot right now to take time off for a reality show like the Real Housewives.

But that did not stop the 34-year-old Trainwreck star from filming a rather ridiculous audition video for the Bravo franchise.

'I'm real. I'm in the house a lot. I'm not a wife, but I have had sex with a lot of married people,' Amy explained when asked why she should get the reality-show role.

Wearing a sequined dress of silvery-lavender, Amy's carefully coiffed blonde curls did make her look like a TV Housewife.

When asked why she would be right for the Real Housewives, Amy pointed out that she had a lot of exes.

'One of them was on a team,' she added. 'I don't want to mention which team because it's not a professional one.'

Considering that divorce and marriages to sports stars are standard in the Real Housewives franchise, Amy may indeed have cracked the code for this casting.

She still needed a tagline though, and Amy was quick to provide two of them.

'I may look like a wh**e... but I am,' the Inside Amy Schumer star announced first.

That may have been a little too explicit for the Real Housewives, so Amy moved on to an equally appropriate catchphrase.

'I don't need a man... But I want one. Any one,' Amy announced, adding emphasis with a reality-show finger wave.

Amy was not too particular about where she would have to live to be on a Real Housewives show, suggesting Newark and Cincinnati before settling on The Real Housewives Of Secaucus at the end of the audition.

All the comedian needed, apparently, was a glass of wine and a philosophy that consisted merely of 'Condoms?'

On July 17, Amy's highly anticipated comedy, Trainwreck, will be released in North America.

Directed by Judd Apatow and co-starring Bill Hader and Tilda Swinton, Trainwreck is Amy's first starring film role.
