Emotional farewell: The Duggar family posted a homemade video on Monday of Jill and Derick Dillard and their son Israel departing for a missionary trip abroad
The video appears to be a mini-episode made by the family after TLC suspended 19 Kids And Counting on May 22 following Josh publicly apologizing for having 'acted inexcusably' when he was aged 14 to 15.
The home movie sees patriarch Jim Bob pray for his daughter and her own growing family as they embark on a Christian missionary trip to an undisclosed location.
'To share the gospel of Jesus Christ,' Jim Bob concluded his prayer, 'How people can be forgiven for what they have done wrong, and in You they can become new creatures.'

The whole scene plays out awkwardly as the entire family attempts to stand in the same frame, standing like actors on a stage facing toward the camera as they talk.
Jim Bob then approaches Derick for an emotional conversation, apparently in lieu of a 19 Kids And Counting confessional.
'Derick, how do you think seeing your dad dying at an early age [affected you]... that life is a race against time,' Jim Bob asked.

'That's what Jill and I talked about early on,' Derick revealed. 'How it's in my heart to be a missionary. How my dad died at an early age. and how we don't know.'
'I could walk out and get hit by a truck. Hopefully that doesn't happen but it could,' he concluded. 'What's for eternity is what really counts.'
As he says these words a person in the background can be heard sobbing and snuffling as they film the scene.

Nowhere in sight is Josh, 27, who has been hit with allegations of molesting young girls when he was a teenager.
On Sunday Derick asked supporters to pray for the safety of his family as he, wife Jill and their infant son Israel embark on a Christian mission outside the US.
Derick, 26, said in a blog post that he and Jill will not say where they are going 'for security purposes.'

He added that the 19 Kids And Counting stars will not be 'publicly discussing specific times and places of international service.'
The announcement came just four weeks after Jill came forward as one of her brother Josh's molestation victims.
It was revealed in May that when Josh was a teenager, he fondled five girls including sisters Jill and Jessa before the family started their reality series.

At the end of May, Derick abruptly left his job with Walmart and acknowledged that there were 'unknowns' he and Jill would face by choosing to leave the US especially with such a young child.
'As I’m sure many of you fathers can understand, I (Derick) had a huge dilemma as the provider and protector of my little family. There were definitely more “unknowns” with the international option,' Derick wrote.
