A bloody mess! Krysten Ritter films gory scene for upcoming Netflix series Marvel's Jessica Jones
Marvel promised the series in its deal with Netflix would be grittier than the films they're known for, and Tuesday's pictures from the set of upcoming Jessica Jones seem to prove exactly that.
Leading lady Krysten Ritter is covered in fake blood in the snaps, which were taken as she filmed on the series' New York City set.
Despite her gory appearance, the 33-year-old seemed to be in good spirits for the filming, as she was spotted sporting a large grin and joking with crew.

Krysten was spotted in what appears to be her character's signature black leather jacket, accompanied with a pair of light wash skinny jeans.
She also donned a tan tank top for the scenes, and all three articles of clothing were covered in splotches of blood.
The former Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 star finished off her look with a pair of black leather motorcycle boots, and wore her long, raven tresses styled straight.

Daredevil premiered on Netflix on April 1, and Jessica Jones is expected to follow later on in the year.
The new show began filming in February and in preparation, Krysten said she had become hooked on the Jessica Jones comic books that she was reading up on.
The actress has previously starred in such hit TV series as Breaking Bad, Gilmore Girls, and Veronica Mars.
