Talent agency DUMPS Cosby after it was revealed he'd admitted giving woman Quaaludes before sex

  • Bill Cosby has been dropped by his talent agency CAA
  • The move comes two days after a 2005 deposition became public in which he admitted to giving a woman Quaaludes before having sex
  • Cosby had been at CAA since 2012 after 48 years at William Morris
  • He was actually dropped late last year, but this was not confirmed until Wednesday
  • Also on Wednesday, Andrea Constand filed a suit saying Cosby and his lawyers had violated the terms of their 2006 confidentiality agreement
  • She now wants all depositions to be unsealed, including those of the 13 Jane Does, and to be able to speak publicly on the matter

Bill Cosby has been dropped by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the talent agency that has represented him since 2012.

This means that Cosby no longer has any talent representation in Hollywood.

The move comes just two days after the release of a 2005 deposition in which Cosby admitted to obtaining Quaaludes to possibly give to women before sex, to giving one woman Quaaludes in the 70s, and to giving another woman Benadryl in 2004.

Also on Wednesday, it was revealed that the woman at the center of that deposition, Andrea Constand, had filed a lawsuit against Cosby and his team for violating the terms of their 2006 settlement.

Bad news: Bill Cosby has been dropped by his talent agency CAA two days after a 2005 deposition became public in which he admitted to giving a woman Quaaludes before having sex

Deadline Hollywood was the first to break the news about CAA's move to drop Cosby, contacting the agency and being told; 'We do not represent him at this time.'

Cosby's publicist later confirmed the news.

The move actually happened late last year, but was only confirmed on Wednesday.

Prior to joining CAA, Cosby has been with the William Morris Agency for 48 years, leaving shortly after the death of his longtime agent Tom Illus, who passed away in September 2011.

Illus and William Morris also came up in Cosby's 2005 deposition that was released on Monday, taken when he was involved in a civil suit after being accused of drugging and raping Constand, a former Temple University basketball coach.

The deposition got into what individuals at the agency may have known about his alleged actions.

'Defendant admitted that in his initial conversation with [Constand] and her mother, he asked them what they wanted and they said they only wanted an apology and to know the name of the drug Defendant had given to Plaintiff,' wrote Troiani.

'He testified that some time after that call, he decided to call Plaintiffs mother to offer Plaintiff funds for “education” and to ask them to meet him in Florida. He then had a representative of the William Morris agency call Plaintiff.'

Cosby also said that he called Illus at one point and asked him to send money to a female accuser.

This is similar to the story told by one of his accusers who said Cosby's agent sent her money and even showed a letter from Illius during an interview last year.

As for the drug admissions, Cosby fessed up to having and distributing Quaaludes while under oath.

The woman who Cosby admitted giving Quaaludes to is an unnamed Jane Doe who he met in Las Vegas in 1976.

Cosby said under oath; 'I met Ms (Redacted) in Las Vegas. She meets me back stage. I give her Quaaludes. We then have sex.'

Cosby also admitted under oath that in the 1970s he had obtained seven prescriptions for Quaaludes.

CAA has yet to comment on their decision to drop Cosby.

Meanwhile, The Wrap has obtained the civil suit filed by Constand against Cosby, which states; 'Cosby’s behaviors have caused plaintiff unwanted and overwhelming media attention, which has detrimentally affected her.'

This behavior refers to the frequent denials of assault and discrediting of the women who have come forward goes against their confidentiality agreement.

Among those statements is the one made on Monday to ABC News by a member of Cosby's team which said; 'The only reason Mr. Cosby settled was because it would have been embarrassing in those days to put all those women on the stand and his family had no clue. That would have been hurtful.'

Constand is now asking that all files be unsealed from the deposition, as well as what the statements from the 13 Jane Does.

Constand is also asking to be able to speak publicly and comment on the ongoing claims being made against Cosby.
