Monarch Of The Glen

The inoffensive Scottish-set dramedy continues, with Richard Briers giving full rein to his fabulous, Muttley-like chuckle as the irascible patriarch, Hector, who tries to steal a barrel of rare whisky from the Glenbogle vaults.

Archie (Alistair Mackenzie), his too-sensible son, immediately tries to stop him, but Hector has already enlisted the help of an old mucker, plus a set of ancient walkie-talkies, in an attempt to retrieve the booze.

As ever, the view is stunning, while the plot is faintly ludicrous.
