Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze throws first pitch at Los Angeles Dodgers game... he should probably stick to football
- Mario Gotze was invited to throw the opening pitch of the night during the baseball match between LA Dodgers and New York Mets
- The Bayern Munich midfielder didn't produce the best of efforts
- Gotze's football skills are thankfully much better than his baseball pitching
Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze has many talents - instinctive positional awareness, a pin-point passing range and an eye for goal among them - yet pitching a baseball it seems, is one that eludes him.
The 23-year-old Germany international, who last year scored the winning goal for his country in the World Cup final against Argentina, was a special guest at the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the New York Mets on Friday, and was invited to throw the opening pitch of the night.
His wayward attempt, however, was a stark reminder that he's definitely in the right sport already.

The 23-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder's attempt isn't pretty and goes some way wide of the target
Dodgers' official Twitter account later joked that 'it would have probably hit the post and gone in.'
Gotze will return for pre-season training with Bayern next week, but until then appears to be making the most of his summer break.
Bayern won the Bundesliga last term with 79 points, 10 clear of Wolfsburg who finished second.
Gotze himself enjoyed a stellar campaign, scoring 15 goals while providing three assists in all competitions.
Thankfully, Gotze's football skills are much better and he is a mainstay in the Bayern first-team
