Arsene Wenger is planning to include English teenager Dan Crowley in a strong Arsenal squad for their pre-season games in Singapore.

Crowley is among just a few young players who Wenger wants to take to the Barclays Asia Trophy, a pre-season tournament which starts on Wednesday, also involving Everton, Stoke and a Singapore XI.

He is only 17 and despite his immense talent and huge potential still has to develop physically but he has trained with the first-team since they reported back at the start of this week.

Wenger is keen to give the midfielder more experience and take a closer look at him before deciding the next move in his development process.

Birmingham are trying to sign him on loan next season and there are sure to be others interested if he is available.

Crowley joined Arsenal from from Aston Villa in 2013 and he signed a professional deal last August.

He is an England U17 international, and was seen deep in conversation with Roy Hodgson when England’s senior team were using Arsenal’s training ground.

Chris Willock is another exciting young English talent who could make the trip to Singapore, as could the likes of Chuba Akpom, who has already made his first-team debut, and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, a French teenager signed from Lens this year.

But Wenger is taking a strong squad to Asia as he starts preparations for an assault on the Barclays Premier League title.

Alexis Sanchez and David Ospina are expected to be the only senior absentees unless there are knocks in training before they depart on Sunday.

Both Sanchez and Ospina have been on international duty at the Copa America and Sanchez reached the final with host nation Chile, who won the title for the first time.

After a long season of 52 games in his first Arsenal campaign, Wenger is determined to give him the chance to rest with a full three-week break before he reports back.

Sanchez will target the FA Community Shield as his first pre-season game and then go straight into the Premier League opener at home to West Ham.

Those Arsenal players not involved in the end-of-season internationals were back in training on Tuesday, along with Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere played for England in Slovenia in mid-June but returned early because he was determined not to lose too much fitness after missing so much of last season through injury.
