'How could she die?' Vicki Gunvalson collapses in grief after learning of her mother's death at a party on RHOC

We’re used to petty squabbles and catfights on The Real Housewives of Orange County - but on Monday’s episode the emotion was raw.

Vicki Gunvalson collapsed to the floor after learning that her mother had died.

Although the exact cause of death was not described it appeared to be a sudden and unforeseen medical condition.

Vicki, 53, had spoken to her apparently healthy mother earlier in the day. Then, at a games party thrown by her friend Shannon Beador, she received the shocking news via a phone call from her daughter Briana.

‘What do you mean? What happened? No,’ Vicki gasped into the receiver.

‘Briana, I can't do this,’ she moaned, before falling onto the kitchen floor in the fetal position.

‘Oh, my God. I don't want to believe this,’ she wailed in the gut-wrenching scene which was shot in February of this year.

‘I gotta see my mom. I just talked to her. Why did she die? I want my mom back. I want my mom here. I want to be with my mom…I just talked to her, she was fine,’ she gabbled in disbelief.

He replied: ‘I knew something was wrong. I ran upstairs and I tried to shake her to wake up. And she didn’t wake up. Oh my God Vicki. I don’t know. I lost my best friend. I don’t know,’ he said.

Usually known for their bitchiness the other women pulled together to support Vicki.
