But could a coveted beauty contract be next on Lorde's long list of achievements?

The barefaced and beautiful 18-year-old had an ethereal air about her as she gazed down her camera lens on Wednesday in an Instagram snap.

She's got the look! Lorde looked positively radiant as she appeared makeup free on Wednesday

Her alabaster complexion highlighted her steely blue eyes and dusky pink lips as she posed for the car selfie.

She captioned the pretty shot: 'a-l-i-e-n // big grey eyes looking past you on a wet day.'

Hinting that the weather wasn't so great at her mystery location, the Kiwi songstress wore a navy turtleneck and pulled her endlessly long, curly mane back into a ponytail.

Clutching at her seatbelt, she was also seen to be wearing a couple of silver rings on her fingers.

Always gorgeous: The 18-year-old has become more confident in posting makeup free shots to her Instagram page, and with good reason

Lorde has happily posted more makeup free selfies lately, showing off her luminous, milky complexion and natural beauty.

Just last month, Lorde's elfin allure captivated fashion followers on her first cover of Vogue Australia.

The two time Grammy award winner posed demurely for the magazine in a fabulous floral Gucci masterpiece, her dark tresses tumbling over her shoulders and in her trademark plum-coloured lipstick.

Titled 'The music issue' the talented Royals singer is the magazine's big sell, appearing alongside a hot house of Australian talent including Sia, Daniel Johns and Vance Joy.

Life as she knew it changed for the hugely talented vocalist when her debut Pure Heroine was met with critical acclaim in 2013 when she was just 16-years-old.

The Auckland teen made history as the youngest solo artist to bag a US number one single on the Billboard Top 100 chart since 1987 in 2013.

She has also gone on to win two Grammys, two Billboard Music Awards, one MTV Music Award and three World Music Awards, as well as contributing to both Hunger Game soundtracks.
