An overweight woman who refused to walk down the aisle as a 'fat bride' teamed up with her fiancé - who had never seen her naked - to overcome their food addiction and shed 195lbs between them, giving them the confidence to finally walk down the aisle and getting married.

Bryce Mulvey, 35, and Amber Brown, 31, from Southern California, who met while dating online, weighed 306lbs and 249lbs, respectively, when they met with trainers Chris and Heidi Powell on the latest episode of ABC reality show Extreme Weight Loss. Even worse, the couple lived in separate homes and Amber had a habit of secretly binge eating to deal with her emotions.

Bryce, who had already dealt with a difficult divorce, said he was ready to ask Amber to marry him, but admitted that they needed to concentrate on their health first before he felt comfortable getting down on one knee.

Both Bryce and Amber were emotional eaters who had long-been battling their addictions to food. And Amber, in particular, started binge eating at an early age. Her father has a drinking problem and when she was only nine-months-old her mother left her dad because she felt it wasn't the right environment to be raising a child.

Growing up, Amber always felt that everything was more important to her father than her. And after her dad remarried when she was five, her eating started to spiral out of control; she even recalled once eating an entire box of candy bars that she was selling for school and hiding the wrappers in her closet.

'I want to make sure when there is a problem that I am not just eating my feelings,' she explained.

Amber admitted that Bryce has never seen her with her clothes off - not even in a bathing suit.

'I don't want to be a fat bride,' she said.

Meanwhile, Bryce had always been slightly overweight, but he was left devastated when his first wife asked him for a divorce. They have a young son together, and Bryce explained that he never wanted his little boy growing up in a broken home.

The emotional pain led Bryce to put on another 65lbs after he got divorced. He didn't think he would ever date again until he met Amber.

However, Bryce knows how difficult marriage can be and he was determined for both of them to get healthy before they say 'I do'.

'We've been ignoring our addiction to food our entire lives,' he confessed.

Bryce, who builds race car engines, was surprised by Chris and Heidi at the track where he worked. He explained to the couple that he and Amber were not engaged yet, and they made a plan for him to get down propose.

Amber, who had no idea that Chris and Heidi were there, was shocked when Bryce asked her to come down to the track because he had to ask her something. Amber admitted she was feeling dread because she told Bryce repeatedly that she didn't want to get engaged at the track.

However, when Bryce got down on one knee, he asked her if she wanted to transform her body with him. At that moment Chris and Heidi drove up and made it clear that they were taking on the couple's case.

Chris and Heidi surprised Bryce and Amber once again when they told them that they would be having their first weigh in at the track - in front of the entire crowd.

Bryce clocked in at 306lbs and noted that he never thought he was over 300lbs, while Amber weighed 249lbs, a number she swore she would never see again.

Bryce explained that he never knew how much Amber weighted, but noted that the number didn't change the way he felt about her in any way.

The two then headed off to the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center where they would begin the first phase of their training with Chris and Heidi.

The Powells told their new clients that they wanted to see them lose a combined total of 150lbs in the next three months.

At the start of their journey Amber and Bryce met celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, who challenged them to follow his recipe of chili chicken. While Bryce took some liberties when measuring ingredients, the chicken turned out great.

Bryce later met with Chris to plan a proposal for Amber once and for all. Amber's mother had given Bryce her wedding ring to use, and he and Chris decided that he would get down on one knee one of the many Colorado mountain tops in the area.

However, getting to the top of the peaked wasn't easy. Chris explained that even he and Heidi were huffing and puffing 200 feet in because of the change in altitude and this was one of Bryce and Amber's first workouts.

Amber was also feeling dizzy and needed oxygen, but she and Bryce eventually made it the top. She was shocked when he proposed and immediately said yes. They hugged and kissed, celebrating the momentous event.

During their time at the center, Bryce and Amber met with the Powells to discuss the next phase of their training. One of them was to be sent home, while the other was supposed to go to Arizona with Chris and Heidi.

But the two explained that they couldn't leave Bryce's son Talon. Amber explained that she was about to become his step-mother and she didn't want to be away from for three months either.

She recalled how hard it was on her when her father married someone she hardly knew, and she didn't want to do that to Talon.

The couple admitted they don't make exceptions on this program, but they agreed that since a child was involved, it was deserved.

Amber and Bryce live about 45 minutes away from each other, so the couple agreed that in order to gain independence, they wouldn't see the other until their wedding day.

Meanwhile, things at the gym were great, and Chris and Heidi noted that they were a great couple to work with. But they couldn't figure out why Bryce was rapidly shedding pounds, while Amber hadn't lost anything.

Heidi, who used to sneak food herself, told Chris that there was no doubt in her mind that Amber was 'sneak eating' behind their backs.

They ordered Amber to have her metabolic rate tested and according to the results, weight should have been shedding off - but it wasn't.

Heidi and Chris new she was working hard in the gym, so she had to be consuming more than the 1,500 calories she was allotted per day.

When confronted by the couple, Amber tearfully denied sneaking food, so Heidi took it upon herself to check her room, where she found numerous junk food wrappers.

However, Amber continue to deny that she ate the food. Instead, she claimed the wrappers had been in her purse for weeks.

With some prodding from Heidi, Amber finally admitted that she had been secretly eating behind their backs. Heidi reassured her that she wouldn't be sending her home but asked her to immediately come to her when she felt like she wanted to sneak food.

'I had a serious attitude check,' Amber told the cameras. She and Bryce were working harder than ever before.

At the time of their 90 day weigh in, it was revealed that Bryce had lost 86lbs. In order for them to reach their combined 150lb weight loss goal, Amber had to weight 185lbs or less. Chris worried that she didn't have enough time to shed the weight because of how much time she spent eating behind their backs.

But Amber ended up weighing 183lbs, proving that she and Bryce were in this together. That night Amber asked Heidi to be one of her bridesmaids, while Bryce asked Chris to be his groomsman.

Before they left for separate homes, they were given their weight loss goals for the second half of their journey.

Bryce was expected to get down to 210lbs, while Amber was supposed to walk down the aisle at 155lbs.

When they arrived home, Bryce and Amber were greeted with an engagement party. Amber's dad was there, and she revealed that was ready to tell her how she feels about his drinking. Bryce and Amber were overwhelmed by the support and loved they received. At the end of the party, the couple parted tearfully as they prepared to leave each other for three months.

Although it was difficult, Bryce told the cameras: 'We will be even stronger when we come back together.'

While they were home, Amber sat down with her father, and they had a heart to heart. Amber explained that her binge eating started because she constantly felt like her father was choosing drinking over her.

Meanwhile, Chris checked up on Bryce to make sure he was working out like he was supposed to - and not seeing Amber. However, he was confused when he saw Bryce packing up boxes.

Bryce explained to Chris that he realized he didn't love what he was doing and closed his business down so he could move forward in all aspects of his life.

Amber continued to be dedicated to her fitness regimen, getting up at 3:30am to do her workouts. She also got to meet Ace of Cakes star 'Duff' Goldman, who was going to be making her wedding cake. She sampled some of cakes, and learned they were made without butter or wheat flour to make them healthier. Instead, Duff relied on rice flour and garbanzo flour, as well as avocados.

Things were going well when it came to weight loss, but one night Bryce and Amber were talking on the phone and Amber raised concerns about them getting married in January when Bryce didn't have a job. However, Bryce thought she was saying she didn't want to marry him.

Despite the rules that were made by Heidi and Chris, Amber was determined to see her fiance and clear things up.

The Powells caught them seeing each other, but Heidi, who had planned a bachelorette party in Los Angeles for Amber, didn't want to ruin the moment by confronting her right away.

For her part, Amber's friends were divided into two teams for a game of paintball shooting. Amber were an old wedding gown, while her guests donned bridesmaids' dresses. They had a great time and Amber and Heidi's team ended up winning.

But when they were alone, Heidi told Amber that she knew she had seen Bryce behind their back. While Amber explained the situation, Heidi pointed out that she had a history of breaking commitments and promises. Amber apologized and said she should have seen them before she had done anything.

Meanwhile, for Chris took Bryce to the Richard Petty Driving Experience, but there was a catch. In order to have his bachelor party, Bryce had to push a race car, with Chris in it, around a 1.5 mile track.

Later, Bryce was rewarded by having a drag race with Chris on the Las Vegas Strip, which was shut down. Before Chris left, he met with Bryce one last time because he noticed he didn't look any different even though two months had gone by.

Bryce only had 10lbs to lose, but it would make a huge difference on his body. Chris surprised him with a weigh in and it was revealed that he had only lost two pounds in 60 days.

'That's not okay,' Chris said, warning him that he had to lose two pounds a week in order for him to reach his goal by his wedding. Chris told him that he would be coming home with him to Arizona until his wedding day.

A month later, both Bryce and Amber looked svelte on their wedding day.

'Seeing Amber was amazing. I thought she was beautiful before we even started this journey,' he explained. When he saw her for the first time in months, he said he felt like he was 'marrying a supermodel'.

The two exchanged vows that they had written for each other, and Bryce told Amber that he would never stop fighting for their relationship. He admitted to the cameras that when he met Amber he told her that he would never get married again, but he knows she is the one he is meant to be with.

After their heartwarming wedding ceremony, it was time for their final weigh in.

Because they were both wearing heavy formal wear, the scales were calibrated to take their clothes into account and show their actual body weight.

Amber was up first, and after she got on the scale it was revealed that she met her goal - getting down to exactly 155lbs.

'For the first time in my life I kept a promise,' Amber said of her amazing final results.

Bryce was up next and not only did he reach his goal, he lost an extra give pounds - clocking in at 205lbs.

Bryce then revealed that he and Amber were planning on opening a gym together, so they can help other people lose weight and get healthy like they had.

The Powells then gave the newlyweds the opportunity 'pay it forward' and give a week-long gift certificate to their Colorado Boot Camp to someone they knew, and Bryce chose one of his female friends.

'We learned so much about each other,' Bryce explained, while Amber noted that their married would have been completely different if they had said 'I do' six months before.

'I am excited to do life with you,' she told her new husband.
