Haute stuff! Olivia Palermo scores another style win with thigh-skimming colourful mini skirt and glittery top as she attends Fendi show in Paris

She's had a busy few days, popping up all over Paris during the stylish city's week of Haute Couture shows.

But Olivia Palermo managed to pull yet another sartorial success out of her designer bag as she arrived at the Fendi Autumn/Winter 2016 show on Wednesday afternoon.

The leggy 29-year-old flaunted her best assets as she made her way into the Theatre des Champs-Elysees to see Karl Lagerfeld's first couture collection for the label.

Arriving in the midst of a protest, she seemed unfazed as she was ushered inside, putting her best foot forward in a colourful creation of an outfit.

She coverered her slim frame in a funky pink, green and black mini skirt teamed with a glittering striped t-shirt tucked into the waistband.

Her enviable long and lithe pins were on display, elongated with a pair of gold metallic strappy peep-toe heels, high enough to give her a much-needed strut through the French capital.

She finished her fun and eye-catching ensemble with a pair of oversized sunglasses with a printed frame, and a yellow handbag with a bejewelled handle.

The socialite, who made a name for herself on MTV's 2008 reality series The City, wore her sunkissed blonde locks down in a wavy style for the occasion.

However, she was flanked by bodyguards as she made her way into the event, which was held to celebrated Lagerfeld's 50 years of working with Fendi.

It was the first ever haute couture show for the brand and, while many in the fashion industry had been thrilled and excited to see the debut, an angry crowd had gathered outside to protest about the use of animal fur in the designs.

The Italian fashion house - which has been an industry stalwart since its inception in 1925 - has long been a target for anti-fur protestors.

Earlier this year, Lagerfeld, also the Creative Director of Chanel, defended the fashion industry's use of fur against PETA.

Speaking to The Independent in retaliation to PETA, the 81-year-old said: 'It's very easy to say no fur, no fur, no fur, but it's an industry.

'Who will pay for all the unemployment of the people if you suppress the industry of the fur? The hunters in the north for the sable, they have no other job, there is nothing else to do. Those organizations who are much against it, they are not Bill Gates.'

No holding back: Lagerfeld's creations were typically black and white, but more ostentatious than the usual Fendi garb, with many of the models in head-to-toe fur

Designs had been swathed on the models, many of whom were clad head-to-toe in furry coats with hoods and dresses constructed from the material.

The overall theme of the show was black and white, typically simple yet ostentatious for the luxury brand, notably a step up for the haute couture season.

Meanwhile, after the show- which included fur garments - the iconic designer walked out onto the runway to rapturous applause from the style elite.

Meanwhile, now at the helm of her own style hub OliviaPalermo.com, Connecticut-born Olivia is now a regular front row at all the major fashion shows and is known for putting on endless displays of clothing delight.

Olivia, who tied the knot with male model Johannes Huebl last year, claims she was always perfectly put-together growing up.

Speaking in a interview with Marie Claire, she said: 'My mother always taught me that you don't leave the house until you're fully dressed – make-up and everything'.

She continued: 'Even when I was young I enjoyed fashion – I didn't have a grunge phase or anything like that, I didn't even have posters as a kid.

'I rode horses every day, that was my focus and probably reflected in my style back then.'
