How to stay bootylicious! Kelly Rowland steps out in skin-tight exercise gear as she works up a sweat in the gym

She was known for putting on a 'bootylicious' display in Destiny's Child.

And, although nearly fifteen years have passed since that single's release, it's clear that Kelly Rowland is determined to keep herself in shape.

The 34 year-old singer was seen stepping out in LA on Wednesday, where she flaunted her fit figure in skin-tight exercise gear as she joined a pal at the gym.

Fresh from a work-out, the singer and TV personality was clearly off-duty when she was spotted in down-town Beverly Hills. 

Wearing a pair of black exercise trousers with a sports bra, she wore a second vest over the top emblazoned with the words 'Pretty Girls Sweat'. 

And, as she replenished her hydration levels with a bottle of water, she had clearly been pushing herself.

Keeping her look in sync with the former R&B star, the unidentified friend also wore a a matching vest top and black Lycra pants with trainers.  

Fortunately, all of Kelly's hard work seems to have paid off - as she looked lithe and toned. complete with a healthy post-exercise glow.

But it's not just her body that's in fine form - her TV career is thriving too.

Earlier this week it was revealed that she has been lined up to play Lucious Lyon's mother in the second season of Empire. The beauty appear in flashback scenes along with Terrence Howard's character, according to E! News.

There has been speculation about a possible role for the 34-year-old since the show's scribes posted a group shot of her with them on Twitter on June 3.

A source revealed the casting to E! on Saturday, July Fourth, at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, where Kelly and her Destiny's Child mates Solange and Beyonce Knowles posed with headline act Missy Elliot.

The busy celebrity will have to fit filming in with caring for her eight-month-old son, Titan, whom she shares with her manager-husband Tim Witherspoon.
