Actress Michelle Keegan voted dream celebrity travel partner... but holidaying Brits would rather leave Kanye behind

  • New survey has found former Corrie actress to be dream holiday partner
  • 26% of those polled chose Michelle Keegan as their wishlist travel mate
  • On the other hand, 38% would not want to holiday with Kanye West
  • Last year it was singer Beyonce who was voted dream travel partner

Michelle Keegan has just earned the title of the celebrity that Britons would most want to take abroad with them, a new survey reveals.

Although last year Beyonce was voted into the top holiday buddy spot, this year, 26 per cent of those polled opted for the former Corrie actress.

Kanye West, however, didn't fare so well. He was voted Brits' nightmare travel partner.

The annual fantasy wishlist was compiled by holiday comparison site icelolly.com.

Although last year's contest found Beyonce taking top honours, she finished second place this year.

The third most popular celebrity to take on holiday was Caitlyn Jenner, who is arguably one of the most famous openly transgender people in the world.

One of Caitlyn's daughters, Kylie, also made the list - in tenth place behind the likes of Channing Tatum, Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne and Gary Barlow.

Last year, Beyonce was named the celebrity that British travellers would most like to holiday with.
Popular British actress Emilia Clarke also made the list of top 10 dream celebrity travel mates.

Last year's winner, Beyonce (left), came in second place, while popular British actress Emilia Clarke came in seventh (right)

Game of Thrones stars also featured prominently on the list, with Emilia Clarke (who plays Daenerys Targaryen) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) ending the contest in seventh and ninth places, respectively.

But when it comes to the holiday partner from hell, there is one clear 'winner' as far as Brits are concerned.

Kanye West was voted into the worst holiday companion spot by an impressive 38 per cent of respondents.

Interestingly, last year's top pick for worst travel mate, Justin Bieber, was nowhere to be found on this year's list.

Kanye was followed by Jeremy Clarkson, Russell Brand and his very own wife, Kim Kardashian, in fourth place.

Completing the top five of the inglorious list was Nigel Farage, the leader of the UKIP party.

But when it came to who British travellers would least like to travel with, Kanye West received 38% of the vote

Ross Matthews, icelolly.com's Head of Marketing, said: 'I completely agree with British people that Michelle Keegan would make a terrific holiday partner.

'She's been to many places over the years, therefore you can expect her to know all the good spots to eat, drink and generally have a great time.

'And she's always very well behaved, so you wouldn't risk getting into trouble.

'Whether people go on a summer holiday to relax or party, one thing they definitely don't want is find themselves in an uncomfortable position.

'And unfortunately for Kanye, Jeremy and Russell, British people have a good memory and it appears they're not ready to forgive them for their many slip-ups – nor trust them to behave while holidaying abroad.'
