Here comes Granny! Adorable new video reveals what little Prince George REALLY calls the Queen

  • Footage of the christening shows William and George discussing 'Granny'
  • The moment came as father and son walked back to Sandringham House
  • George is thought to refer to Carole Middleton simply as 'Grandma'

When Prince George was seen sidling up to a clearly delighted Queen in the churchyard at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on Sunday, the moment captured hearts around the world.

Now a video taken on the day has shed light on the close relationship between the monarch and her great-grandson - and reveals that Her Majesty is known to George as 'Granny'.

In the clip, which was obtained by the Mirror newspaper, Prince William, 33, is heard telling the toddler, who celebrates his second birthday this month, that they are 'going back' to 'Granny's'.

Treat your tot to a traditional romper by Rachel Riley

Once again, gorgeous George has melted hearts everywhere! He looked utterly adorable attending his little sister's christening in a sweet romper by Rachel Riley.

The childrenswear designer is clearly a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge's, as she's kept little George's wardrobe well-stocked with pieces from the brand. A prime example are the now iconic sail boat dungarees the tot was dressed in during the Royal tour of New Zealand.

The label is known for their traditional take on childrenswear, just like this hand-smocked top featuring a vintage-inspired design and matching shorts. But the cutest thing about this romper, is the fact that it's spot on identical to the one Prince William wore when he first met his newly-born brother, Harry.

Kids grow out of clothes fast, making their wardrobes very interchangeable. But it's nice to have a few keepsakes, and this cute set is perfect for that.

The moment came as the family left the church following the baptism of Princess Charlotte and shortly after William had turned to his son and reassured him 'they're coming, they're coming' in response to the toddler looking back for his royal and Middleton relations.

William, Kate, George and Charlotte were walking the short distance to Sandringham House for a christening tea hosted by the Queen.

There, the family are believed to have enjoyed sandwiches and slices of christening cake - the latter a tier from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding confection.

Although the Queen is George's great-grandmother, he is following in his father's footsteps by calling her Granny.

That much was made famously clear when, during the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, William and Harry were heard shouting 'Go Granny!' during the famous parachute stunt.

In an interview to mark the Diamond Jubilee, Harry told journalists: 'To me, she's just Granny' and, during the closing concert for the Invictus Games last year, introduced a message from the monarch by saying: 'Here's Granny'.

While the name used for the Duchess of Cornwall is unknown, George is thought to refer to his other granny Carole Middleton as 'Grandma'.
